LE Flex weapons

Me and some guys from work have been tossing around some ideas for Flex weapons in Skyrim. Mostly different kinds of whips, such as barbed and cat o' nine tails and such. this could include flails and other types of flexable weapons. None of us have much experience with modding. Can anyone with some experience maybe point us in the right direction or let us know if it would even be feasable to add a weapon type in game.
