ok, ty, now all i need to do is figure out how to add body textures onto my guy with TES CS, i add them to it but it doesnt show the paint in-game, but it did when i painted the footmale file, altho the kratos face works fine. and btw, i cant just use a human for it then paint it? it would be illegal to upload it unless i used my own texture completely altered?

FYI: i will not be viewing this untill tomorrow morning, so please take as long as you want to reply, im goin to bed lol.

Hi Hades - Might I suggest that you start from the begging ? I say this only because,

by your own admission you are new to moding.

1) download Roberts male body. With this you can find out better where the textures go,

and a little of how they work. Don't just dump the files in your Oblivion data folder like

everyone says. Examine the file and folder structure, and pay attention to their sequence,

and where they go. If you prefer the Vanilla body go ahead and use it, don't why anyone would though.

btw - you don't have to make an esp in CS for a re-texture. An archive invalidation will do.

2) Download OBMM - Oblivion Mod Manager if you haven't already.

3) download some WIKI tutorials.

Edit: Just to clarify - If you are making a new race start first with checking your new textures in game.

You can do a lot of changes, touch ups etc. quickly this way. Then when it's all good move on

to the new race bit in CS.

Start by using the meshes\characters\_male\ .nif (whatever incarnation you are using),

and textures\characters\imperial\male\.dds (where your texture should be).

When you get what you want here then you can set up your race in CS. more easily.
