ball2hi
After the first few Cinematic kills, the cinematic kills seem more and more like a burden rather than enjoyment. If I'm facing two opponents and my character decides to do a Cinematic Kill on one of them, I'm completely unable to retaliate/defend myself against the other opponent. I don't seem to take damage while doing a cinematic kill but, after the cinematic kill I'm unable to dodge/block fast enough if the opponent is already swinging. This has led to a few deaths. Another thing, I'm not sure if this is the mod: Deadly Combat but some of the NPC humanoids seem to be able to do "Cinematic" kills to me. The camera doesn't move/change or anything, into an actual cinematic. It just shows their character grabbing me then killing me by stabbing and this is very annoying. Numerous and numerous times I'll be at full HP as I engage an enemy, regardless of their melee weapon, and they immediately grab me and kill me as their first hit. No matter what I do I can't prevent this, or is there way to prevent this without a mod?
xlcr
@ball2hi, as repetitive as these can get i'm surprised Bethesda didn't provide an option to turn these off or control frequencyand a lot of gamers are complaining how forced killcams leave their stealth characters completely vulnerable. i don't think there is a simple ini variable setting you can tweak to disable killcams other than maybe messing with the [VATS] settings under [combat] in skyrim.ini ('bVATSDisable=1' VATS (ranged killmoves only) settings are not documented and probably not in your default skyrim.ini). i know you don't want to hear about mods but this mod will disable killmoves and recently updated to be compatible with patch v1.6.89..Killmove Control by MrDomino - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13446 this is a very popular mod, you can disable NPC's from performing killmoves and set killmove chance settings, works with patch v1.6..The Dance of Death - A Killmove Mod by DaedalusAI - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10906 Edited June 29, 2012 by xlcr

From what I read about "The Dance of Death", it sounds like it will interfere with another mod of mine which I thoroughly enjoy, "Auto Perk Stats Level". xlcr
@ball2hi, not sure how mod:Auto Perk Stats Level - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3198which only overhauls the player leveling/perks/stats system using script dragon routines would be affected by processes from:The Dance of Death - A Killmove Mod by DaedalusAI - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10906which only overhauls the killcam triggering system and adds custom animations. Anyway, back on topic, Killmove Control by MrDomino - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13446as far as i can tell it can disable all killmoves from triggering; however, i have left a question in the modders comments sectionasking for clarification about NPC's/enemies.You might install it and try it, if it doesn't work for you then uninstall it. 'Auto Perk Stats Level' looks like an older outdated mod to me and the description still references Skyrim patch v1.3 circa January 2012 and still includes a link to the old version of Script Dragon from December 2011.I do not think this mod works properly with the latest Script Dragon (http://alexander.sannybuilder.com/?category=other&altname=skyrim_script_dragon)This mod also must be installed prior to starting a new character so your savegames are dependent on it. I'm guessing you're running Skyrim with an older patch version(?); so, I'm not sure 'The Dance of Death - A Killmove Mod' is going to function properly for you anyway unless you try and older version of that, if my guess is right, or you're running Skyrim patch v1.6 and living with any broken features of 'Auto Perk Stats Level'. i would consider both of these mods (Auto Perk Stats Level and Dance of Death) intrusive major overhaul mods that probably bake-in embedded changes into your savegame also; but, Dance of Death is uninstallable using a clean gamesave technique.Sorry i can't really help you fix the killcam thing for you, i do not play a stealth close kill character and haven't run into the issues you're having. Enatiomorph
Er, without mods you shouldn't be doing kill moves except on the last enemy.

The Dance Of Death power is equipped to the voice key, and casting it opens up an in-game menu which can guide players towards altering the following settings in their game: -Killmove Chance-Decapitation Chance-Forced Perspective-Perk Restriction System-Player Immunity-Last EnemyUnless there's something I'm understanding incorrectly, it plays with the Perk System. I'm not entirely comfortable with them being so close. Also, no, I don't use an older version of Skyrim and I have yet to experience any "bugs" that have came with AutoPerkStatsLevel. xlcr
@Enatiomorph, you are correct about the last enemy requirement before a player or NPC can trigger a cinematic killcam in Skyrim unless a mod has removed this requirement; so, what's going on with ball2hi'sgame and what mods are installed is confusing. i'm pretty sure ball2hi is just looking for the simplest way to disable all killcam cinematics without getting into changing currently installed mods like Deadly Combat and Auto Perk Stats Level that was mentioned so far. Depending on what options you've selected to install, Deadly Combat by Borgut1337 - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5485can overpower your enemies which might be why he's getting killed a lot lol; but, i do not think this modtouches the last enemy requirement. if ball2hi can find the mod that is removing this, it might fix the issue of getting killed when his character is frozen by a cinematic. Good call Enatiomorph.. EDIT: just saw your post ball2hi, i agree, probably not a good idea to try the Dance of Death mod..as Enatiomorph pointed out, are you running any mod that removes the global last enemy requirement? It's only happened once, where I had a cinematic when it wasn't a last-enemy and it got me killed by a well timed 2-Handed swing. The other times is when I got access to the first Werewolf mission, and used my Beast Mode. The cinematic killmoves were happening so often whether or not it was the last or the first enemy. I can live with/without the cinematic kills as long as I can somehow remove NPC killmoves. I recently ran into a group of Hired Thugs, and while I did make a Quick Save before the encounter, I felt I had to fight them one too many times as I constantly got killed as soon as I engaged them because their first move performed was a kill-move while I was at full-HP. Sometimes they even did it when I was out of melee arm's reach too which was extremely annoying.
xlcr
@ball2hi, well if you want to, post the contents of your DLCList.txt file here, maybe someone will identify if a mod is changing global last enemy requirements allowing any NPC killcam cinematic to trigger.(search for DLCList.txt in your systemdrive, its just a list of esp/esm mods you have installed).
