Making a new player home?

hey, i've been thinking for some time that i would like to make a large player home, preferably a castle or estate. The question i have is whether or not to make one now. Lately ive had problems with the creation kit(invisible armor bug) and seen many others that have aswell. So is it worth it to make my player home now or wait for a new version of the kit with less bugs?

Secondly i would love to hear what places anyone would like to see a new player home(castle/estate theme), or any good locations for one. I've had many problems finding just the right spot to make this and would love any tips and ideas on where i could fit one in well, without it looking out of place.

Thanky you for any help =)

p.s. I would like the home to have a small fully populated village with all the proper shops ect. or perhaps just an inn or tavern and some suppliers in/near the castle or estate.

I haven't had any noticeable problems lately besides the usual. I've been working on a city, which is about the same as a new house relative to what parts of the CK you're using. Maybe I'm just lucky. I'd say go for it, and wait for the next patch if you encounter a lot of problems. Otherwise, why quit before you try?

About the locations, I don't have any suggestions my self. I had a terrible time finding the right location for my own mod. But what I would suggest is doing a bit of research to narrow down spots you don't want to have a house. Sometimes people like to have several mods going that change the landscape, either with towns, villages, cities, houses, castles, and what not. So you should take a look at all of the big house mods and anything similar and see where they are located. You don't want to place it somewhere and find out later that there is already another mod with something in that spot.

Also don't be afraid to change the terrain a little. It's pretty easy to do with the landscape editor, there are plenty of places that have nothing there that could be modified to be the perfect spot. Just make sure to clear shrubs, trees, bugs, etc before raising terrain or you'll find out later that you have tons of unnecessary objects underneath the ground.. personal experience. :whistling:
