spitzel001
hi is there a way to disable these blur filters which get applied by certain weather? everytime when it gets foggy or snowy or rainy, it becomes too blurred (clouds and scene). thanks in advance Edit: After trying several ini tweaks, i got the solution: you have to set bDoDepthOfField to zero. For DoF effect i just use enb. SkyrimPrefs.ini:[imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=0 Edited June 30, 2012 by spitzel001

Thanks a lot. Great! :) EDIT: err, i have to retract. the mod did not help. i was playing around with the ini tweaks. i could figure out, that bDoDepthOfField have to be set to 0 (SkyrimPrefs.ini): [imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=0 Now i thought it was the mod. sry for that^^ Edited June 30, 2012 by spitzel001
AlexiousITA
Hello, I have the same issue, but I would rather not turn off Depth of Field since it gives amazing effects during sunlight weather. Is there any other way to fix the foggy/blurry weather, please?
xlcr
spitzel001/daventry/AlexiousITA, hi, in SkyrimPrefs.ini i use this setting:[blurShader]bUseBlurShader=0seems to work for me; but, i'm using a bunch of other display mods and weather effects.anyway, give it a shot.i leave bDoDepthOfField set to 1. AlexiousITA
I have BlurShader to 0 too, but that's not the problem. BlurShader should be Bloom anyway, and it only activates if HDR is turned off.
xlcr
@AlexiousITA, then i figure i managed to get the bloom blur weather effects turned off/minimized using a mod i installed a long time ago. It doesn't use screen shader injections or other post-processing (non-ENB), only uses game engine Creation Kit changes; so, i've noticed no performance hit, in my opinion this is a great environmental lighting customizable display mod (using older v3.31).Realistic Lighting With Customization by The Realistic Lighting Team - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7654I also use mods that modify ambient interior and exterior fog and other particle effects but these have nothing to do with blur.Sorry I can't pinpoint/confirm exactly what i did to remove weather blur/bloom effects for you, Suspect it is the Realistic Lighting mod with customized settings or an INI tweak somewhere. As you said, I guess this SkyrimPrefs.ini setting adjusts pupil dilation and brightness but doesn't seem to change HDR:[blurShader]bUseBlurShader=0Wonder if setting 'bUseBlurShader' can be added to the [blurShaderHDR] section?[blurShaderHDR]bDoHighDynamicRange=1 (this is the only settting i currently see in there, enables HDR as far as i know). Here's a link that explains some of the available BlurShaderHDR settings for Oblivion only.the 'fBlurRadius' setting looks promising lol.http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/HDR_Settings Edited July 8, 2012 by xlcr
AlexiousITA
Well, but I do have Realistic Lighting.esp and the likes with the ENB mod. Anyway, I am looking at the thinner fog mod, maybe that can help.
xlcr
@AlexiousITA, for personal aesthetic and performance reasons i use a combination of 3 mods to remove fog effects listed below, also decided to uninstall all the ENB stuff i was experimenting with, and reduced the number of rendered particlesin SkyrimPrefs.ini from 750 to 500 here:[Particles]iMaxDesired=500Revamped Exterior Fog by Greg Manthey - gargorias - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9930Interior and Dungeon Fog Remover by 747823 - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/736Remove Ambient Interior Fog by Greg Manthey - gargorias - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9571 http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/images/736-4-1321750995.jpg Edited July 8, 2012 by xlcr
Relativelybest
While on the subject of weather and lighting filters: There's apparently some sort of decreased saturation effect going on when you're outside in cloudy weather, making everything look bleaker and kinda washed out. (When using the lightsaber mod, I noticed it had a radically different glow outdoors than it had indoors.) Is there any way to get rid of that?
