Hey guys and gals,

I am trying to make pure mages that can use summons.

The class I have them on right now is EncDragonPriest.

I am trying to get them to level into Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Illusion, and Alteration.

I even settle without Illusion.

What class should I use for getting stats for mages and having summons?

Which combat style did you use for the summons?

Combat AI package is the same as combat style?

Grimraven1 (Very helpful modder), says I need to assign spells. I don't understand what it means to assign spells.

They have spells in their spell list and the right perks. I have put the cost of the conjure spells to 50.

Lastly, should I start over after I implement the changes?

Or, should I disband and wait a number of days until it takes effect?

Please help me, and Thanks in advance.

Edit: deleted some leveling info 'cause it only applied to the player

You assign spells (including summon spells) to the npc's on their Actor form using the Spell List tab.

The Combat Style and Combat AI package are all irrelevant to leveling up, afaik.

http://www.creationkit.com/Class

If i understand well, the amount of skill points of a NPC is defined by his class.

Also, quoting from the CK wiki

Prior to the 1.6 Skyrim update, "PC Level Mult" would calculate the actor's stats only once, when the player first entered the NPC's area and loaded their data. After this initial encounter, although the NPC's nominal level would increase based on PC Level Mult, their stats would not. Initial indications with the 1.6 update are that all NPC stats now recalculate correctly when the PC levels up, although this needs additional testing before it can be considered confirmed.

If this is confirmed, NPCs that use level multiplier will recalculate their skills everytime the player increases level, following what you have defined in the class (the various skill weights)

Ah, I stand corrected  .

@someidiot777: In light of this new information, I would think you can probably create a custom Class for your mages, then assign more points to the Magicka attribute weight, and greater weights to the Destruction, Restoration, Conjuration, Illusion, and Alteration skills.
