rmm200
Try downloading it again. Should be a 25 meg download. 7zip will also test the archive for you.AAF - Compatibility Patches V3.0.7ZI tried it and it installed cleanly. Left all selections at default. Rysq
I did thatWhat strange is it installed a couple days ago just fine, while making adjustments I went to re-install. Now it just wont.No change in versions or anything. God Damnit Vortex...
rmm200
If I were you - my next step would be to reinstall Vortex. What version are you on? Upgrade to the current is easiest.Should be completely painless, and if any bits of Vortex were damaged it should fix them. For this particular error - it is more tempting to blame Windows than Vortex.Due diligence - what sort of "adjustments" were you making, and reiinstalled what? Rysq
Only thing I did , was disable two male body textures that ran after the compatability patch I was trying to re-install upon re-install of said patch, I got that.I re-enabled to two textures I had temporarily disabled, and tried again, re-downloaded the file, tried again. Im totally puzzled...
rmm200
The old causation vs correlation thing...Try installing some other mods. Not just disable / enable - but real install. Then try installing version 2.8 of this same mod. We need more data points...Although reinstalling Vortex is still on the list. Rysq
Updated Vortex , No Go. The error appears to have something to do with .net framework cas permissions, but im gonna get cancer trying to figure that out.I am gonna update this somewhat outdated windows environment and hope that helps. Rysq
I found a solution. I have custom directories for vortex and for keeping my mods.Microsofts .net framework somehow intereferes with this process in older environments (windows 8.1 x64) because of the way it allows programs like vortex to move untrusted filesObviously I can not be trusted to know what I am doing, so grandpa Microsoft likes to f*** my s*** up. I manually extracted the archive to vortex's mod directory, from there it repopulated back into vortex where I could re-enable it again.
rmm200
If you manually extract the archive - you bypass the fomod installer. That part is fine as long as you know what you are doing.I worry most about putting anything directly in the mod directory - I don't know what else Vortex does with mods.I would at least try unpacking the archive - which you did - and zip up the single piece you want, without the fomod.See if Vortex will install that. At least then you will know Vortex is happy internally.I am glad you got this fixed - but I am afraid, like the ghost of Christmas past, it will visit you again.
