CallumW25
I know this is probably in all the wrong places, but I recently installed a mod that changed my map texture when I didn't want it to, it didn't advertise as such. And i cant stand the new one, i was just wondering how i can get that reset back to default, I have uninstalled that mod but the texture remained. I can't find a simple file to delete that texture so i am unsure on what to do. I have re-installed the game but it didn't reset the files, I loaded from steam backup and that also changed nothing. Thanks, Edited November 24, 2018 by CallumW25
AGreatWeight
Go into your Fallout4 DATA directory (usually C/STEAM/STEAMAPPS/COMMON/FALLOUT4/DATA unless you've installed it somewhere else)Inside the DATA folder, navigate to TEXTURES/INTERFACE/PIP-BOY and delete WORLDMAP_D.DDS
CallumW25
in the data folder, the textures folder only has a FalloutWho folder in there, no sub folders or files in there
CallumW25
so I think the main problem now is that my data folder is almost empty, no textures folder at all, only one in there is FalloutWho, a doctor who mod for fallout, which isn't causing the map issue as I had that installed before the map became a problem
AGreatWeight
If the map texture is from a mod, it's likely packaged up into a .ba2 file inside the data folder.
MarkusTay
The only thing I can suggest is that if you want a more 'vanilla' feel (You didn't really describe what happened to your map), I use THIS MOD, and all that does is use the vanilla map and highlights stuff better. Maybe if you use that - or something similar - you can overwrite whatever the other mod did.
