ArchiToast
I would love to see some ancient foes resembling the colossi found in the old 2005 PS2 game Shadow of the Colossus.Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadow_of_the_Colossus http://www.ps2vicio.com/imagenes1/PS2/Wanda_y_el_Coloso/Wanda_y_el_Coloso_9.jpgThis one already looks Dwemer. They wouldn't need to be quite as massive as the originals but still big enough to capture the gravity of battle that the original game created. Maybe place them in an ancient Dwemer realm or cave/arena to prevent conflicts with the vanilla Skyrim world geometry that isn't really designed for such things. Slow-moving walk. Slow, but powerful attacks with giant weapons (one shot kills are really the only way to go while preserving game balance). Mimicking the the graceful character climbing and swinging of the original game to access the "weak spots" may not be possible so some other method of exploiting the colossi's weaknesses might need to be created. There's quite a good following that support the original game and it would be interesting to see similar gameplay and "epicness" under a new graphics engine and setting. These are my thoughts. Feel free to add to or edit the idea.
Jakisthe
I wonder...would it be possible to recreate even the simplest mechanics of taking them down? Like for that guy above, if put into skyrim...possible to allow the player to walk up his sword?
JanusForbeare
To do that, the sword would probably have to be a static object (not impossible, would probably have similar mechanics to carraiges). Of course you can stand on actors, but their collision radius seems really imprecise... a problem that I'm sure grows exponentially with the size of the actors. I'm not certain that handheld weapons even have a collision radius when they're not being used. Still, when it comes to monsters, bigger is better. Remember those 200 foot super-mutants from MMM? Gargantuans, or something?
