Hello everyone, I think it's my first post here.

 

I have a respectable PC that plays everything on high graphics. (quad core, performance ram, 560Ti etc.)

 

Two days ago I reinstalled New Vegas with the idea to download some nice mods and to experience all the DLC.

 

Downloaded the newest mod manager but most of the downloads fail or are listed as incomplete or whatever. And when mods download they run around 20kbps which is incredibly slow.

 

I bought premium hoping that the premium servers would give me the 200 - 500 kbps that my 4meg South African line is easily capable of pulling through. The premium changed nothing. Right now I'm downloading the 70 meg Willow companion mod for NV at 18 - 25 kbps. If I want to download a texture mod or anything larger than 100 megs then the downloads tend to fail. I tested my line on different international Steam servers last night and everything was normal (200 - 500kbps) on European, American and South African download servers.

 

I tried finding solutions to the 1.) broken Mod Manager, 2.) slow download speeds and 3.) mod corruption. It seems that I've accidentally hit several major issues here and I couldn't find a single conclusive answer to any one of them. I've gone through the forums and did the basic checks such as firewalls, closed ports, anti-virus, correct permissions etc.

 

So uhh, there're some exciting mods that I really want to check out. Can anyone help or direct me to something that might help?

The Willow download is now at 9 - 12kbps. I had a 56k line in 2002 that did that. :" (
