Yuu266
Like what I am doing now you''re going to have to use process of elimination to find the problem. Also did you make a merged patch and then master updated? If you haven't rename FO3edit to FO3MasterUpdate and run that. That should make the game run smoother. As much as I love Fallout 3 it's a real pain to get it to run the way you want without any problems.

I actually think it may be NMC's texture mod... I was having the same issue with New Vegas, I'd enter Goodspring General and the game would crash while loading the inside of the store. I had Ojo Bueno UHQ textures installed on NV, I removed NV and reinstalled and put all of the mods back on except for Ojo Bueno and a few other retexture ones and the game runs great now. I did see something that FO3/NV will crash if the game uses over 2GB of memory, is that true? I wonder if the that's the case, if the textures were maxing out my memory causing it to crash? Yuu266
Maybe, if you haven't seen my post (The one where it says Mod conflicts may be the problem) I have narrowed down to my last two mods of that weird fallout 3 glitch. I made a video of it it's in my post if you want to check it out. It's been like 4 hours of constant testing and reinstalling to see WTF is making it do that. Then after solving this crap I then have to see what makes me CTD now and then. (More than likely my load order) But this 2GB thing, I've never heard of it! I have at least 30 mods installed. I guess I'm going to have to choose what to remove as much as I don't want to. :wallbash:
yoyoma64
Regarding that "2GB thing": Since you're using texture packs, you probably need to make the game "large address aware". For Fallout 3 its much more difficult to do than New Vegas. Fallout 3 has a lot of instructions to make it large address aware, but I've done it before so its not impossible. This may or may not help with your game crashing but regardless, you should already be using it since you're using NMC's texture packs. Heres the Fallout 3 link: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/6510 Heres the New Vegas link: http://nvse.silverlock.org/ No, I'm not tricking you with the New Vegas link. Scroll down to "Troubleshooting/FAQ" and look for the question "Is NVSE compatible with the "FNV4GB" loader that enables the large-address-aware (aka 4GB) flag?" Click on link just below it. For the New Vegas 4gb loader, you launch the game from the 4gb loader. Simple enough. I can't remember the instructions for the Fallout 3 large address enabler but should you need help, I'll give it a go (again) Hope this helps.
