Can an event node get stuck?

So I have a script in a quest triggered from an event node. Thing is, the script kinda got stuck and one point, and afterwards even resetting or stopping the quest from the console doesn't seem to do much. The event node just doesn't seem to trigger it again.

 

I'm probably missing something there, but basically what the title says. Can the event node get somehow stuck? And can I do anything about it?

If its story manager event nodes, issues in that system are the root of many base game quest and dialogue tree problems.

 

As a hard coded system with zero state query and management functions I avoid the SM except for the exclusive "PlayerLevelUp" trigger, otherwise its functions can be hand rolled with script events. Less elegance and efficiency, but more control.
