KillerHell
I've noticed that I get VERY long loading times. I always had them in around 2-10 seconds, which is apparently normal for every Skyrim PC player. But now, when I go from a place to another, it's like 2 minutes or more. I've never had this problem before, sure I do use some mods, even graphical, but most of them are rather just small changes. And my computer specs reach the recommended settings, and as I said before, if it could load 2-10 seconds, it should STILL do so. My specs; OS = Windows 7 64-bitGraphics card = Nvidia 285GTXProcessor = Intel Quad-core Q8400 2.66GHzRAM = 4gbLocal Disk C (Harddrive) = 1 Terrabyte. 618 used space, 312 free space. Defragmented. If you want to know the mods, this picture shows them all; http://i48.tinypic.com/akdgrn.png I don't see any good explanation of why I get such long loading times. I did notice it's a common problem now though. Is this because of the 1.6 patch?
David Brasher
No matter how powerful your computer, Skyrim can bring it to it knees. I recommend that disconnect from the Internet while playing, shut down all the background processes, and perform system maintenance such as defrag. Remove graphics mods. Turn your game settings down repeatedly until you achieve good system performance and short load times. After you reach that point, you can start tinkering with settings and mods to try to make you game look good again, but be sure to monitor performance and load times with each addition you make. Haha, yeah sure, maybe Skyrim can "bring it to it knees" but only when you heavily graphically mod it. I already did what you said, not much help with those. I'm still thinking it's all because of the 1.6 patch.
