Exileoo1
Hi! I'm new! So, I may have followed some tutorials and made a custom voiced follower that I just released today Click here. I have a problem though. The mod crashes your game unless you start a fresh save from scratch and I have no idea why. Was hoping someone might have some insight or be able to tell me why. I hope you can help. Exile.
NexusComa
Just a guess here .. When you create mods you must go back to a fresh save when your game didn't have the mod in it at all.You can't save while testing the mod add more to the mod then go back to that save. Exileoo1
So not using a fresh save when testing/creating my mod could cause problems for downloaders after I upload it to the nexus?
NexusComa
You can't make a mod at all without using a fresh save to test. That's how it's done ...
Exileoo1
Oh! Well, I've made the mod and it's up on the nexus. It works fine but was crashing my friends game until they started a fresh save game at lvl1. I'll wait and see what more users say and go from there. NexusComa
I'm not trying to be rude to you in anyway ... I'm just telling you how everyone makes mods. It's a well known fact you have to test on a clean save. You don't have to go back to the start. You just need a save that was before you added your mod. If not when you go to test the mod will pull data from the mod and the savemaking any type of test invalid ...
