billypnats
Ok, so I've done some exploring with tes:cs's specanims folder and I also did some exploring on character animation menus and I've noticed the following things when you enable certain types of animations in character animations menus Idle animations and Walking animations fully capable of being player specific. Normal attack animations, including spell casting are some times vanilla and some times modded (mean you'll get both of them at the same time) Powerattacks are not capable of being player specific at all. NOw if I remember correctly, back in V1.0, the specanims folder did not exist? or character specific animations? (until expansion pack came out) Please Read and comment on anything that may help to solve this problem
Vagrant0
The only thing I can say is that alot of this is moot if there aren't animations available to do those things. At current about all that has been successfully done have been idles or minor changes to existing animations. I suspect that key ones like combat and spell casting need special settings to work properly with the game. Essentially, only those who can make those kinds of animations can answer this, and the answer to this only affects those people. Any other sort of inquiry, however enlightening, won't necessarily make those things get done, and may even impede their progress. If it can be done, it will be done, if it can't, it won't. To say anything else doesn't accomplish anything. Those people who can do this sort of thing don't even need your support, or suggestion, there are people who have been wanting different animations since the game came out, the need or desire is assured regardless what limits are found. russader
Ah, dumb question, but what was the question? Serious. There is alot of great information, but no real question posed. Are you trying to make animations work with an original unpatched unexpanded version of Oblivion? Are you trying to understand the original? If yes to eigther of these why? If this is not the issue, can you clearify? I thank you agin for the info, sorry I can't see the question.
Vagrant0
=/ wow that was a bit harshSometimes harsh is the only thing that ever gets through. But you have to realize, this it really more of an intellectual exercise than anything. Much like college students trying to figure out how to get the prices of gas down... They can debate, they can argue, they can present new ideas, but none of them are capable of doing anything about it first hand, and those who can probably either already are, or don't care.
