Wrye Bash and STEAM('s bungling)

Hi there,

So I just installed Wrye Bash to be able to make changes to my load order and create a bashed patch to compile multiple mods affecting the leveled lists. The problem was the instant I started using Wrye bash the STEAM launcher lost my login info and despite numerous attempts to login and have it 'remember me' so I can play in offline mode, it won't. Said another way, I now have to allow the game to launch and connect to the internet. The instant it connects to the internet the launcher goes and completely screws the pooch with my load order as well as disabling a number of mods that I've been using for some time. Needless to say I wish STEAM had never existed and would spontaneously cease to exist. At the very least I'd like to keep their ignorant, clumsy fingers out of my way. So, has anyone run into this before and is there a workable solution?

I need to be able to play in offline mode and for some reason STEAM won't let me and then insists on meddling with things that I want it to leave alone ... what do I do?

EDIT: I determined what was preventing me from playing offline. Somehow a setting in STEAM had been triggered not to save account details on my computer. I don't know what did it but it seems to work now.
