Septfox
I just got done with some heavy tweaking about in my configuration files, and am satisfied with the visual results. This of course means I've given up several frames per second in return; dipping below 30 in some exterior areas. This is more than playable for me, however, the game seems to think it knows better and automatically disables tree movement under 30fps or so, apparently a(n ineffective) "feature" to try and bolster the framerate. And so, here I am. Does anyone know if there's a way to disable this behavior, or suppress it (perhaps set the framerate threshold lower)? If worse comes to worse I can back some of my settings off, but forcing the game engine to stop being a twit would be preferable.
