OLKv2
Seems to be a texture issue but I have no idea what's causing it. Loot gives no errors and I can't find any error in FNVEdit either. Using MO2 if that helps. I've been through a lot with this stupid game and it felt like I almost got it running again, then this starts. I'm at my wit's end with this game. The Primm related mods are New Vegas uncut, New Bison Steve, and Primm's reputation restoredI have Vanilla UI Revelation installed as well with UIO, just in case that's somehow relatedI'm on Windows 10 and tested this both with and without the Stutter Remover installed, crash happens regardless. Also tested with and without NVSE's Memory patch, crash still happens regardless.Using the GoG version, 4GB Patch installed. Weapon Animation Replacers also installedI have an error log from NVSE in case anyone wants that as well Here's my load order 0 0 FalloutNV.esm 1 1 DeadMoney.esm 2 2 HonestHearts.esm 3 3 OldWorldBlues.esm 4 4 LonesomeRoad.esm 5 5 GunRunnersArsenal.esm 6 6 ClassicPack.esm 7 7 MercenaryPack.esm 8 8 TribalPack.esm 9 9 CaravanPack.esm 10 a YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm 11 b oHUD.esm 12 c SomeguySeries.esm 13 d AWorldOfPain(Preview).esm 14 e domecity.esm 15 f The New Bison Steve Hotel.esm 16 10 CCO - Follower Tweaks.esm 17 11 More Perks.esm 18 12 3DNPC_FNV.esm 19 13 Afterschool Special.esm 20 14 3DNPC_FNVGeneric.esm 21 15 3DNPC_BlueNote.esm 22 16 CCO - Classic Perks.esm 23 17 D.E.I.M.O.S..esm 24 18 CCO - Gameplay Changes.esm 25 19 SolidProject.esm 26 1a GRARG.esm 27 1b YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp 28 1c FalloutNV_lang.esp 29 1d The Mod Configuration Menu.esp 30 1e Simple Saves.esp 31 1f Qolore Gameplay Tweaks 2.esp 32 20 SimpleStreetLights (Extra Lights).esp 33 21 outsidebets.esp 34 22 LegionAIFix.esp 35 23 The Weapon Mod Menu.esp 36 24 LootMenu.esp 37 25 Universal Item Sorter.esp 38 26 JIP Companions Command & Control.esp 39 27 YukiMergedMods.esp 40 28 Qolore Gameplay Tweaks 1.esp 41 29 Mojave Raiders.esp 42 2a Mojave Wildlife (FO3-Style + No Chanced).esp 43 2b Wasteland Loot.esp 44 2c WeaponModsExpanded.esp 45 2d AWOP-LowNPCSWastelandOnly.esp 46 2e AWOPVeryLowRobots.esp 47 2f CCO - CP All DLC Patch.esp 48 30 CCO - Damage Resistance.esp 49 31 CCO - DR All DLC Patch.esp 50 32 CCO - Follower Weapon Auto-Repair.esp 51 33 CCO - FT All DLC Patch.esp 52 34 CCO - Perk Rebalance - Dead Money.esp 53 35 CCO - Perk Rebalance - Honest Hearts.esp 54 36 CCO - Perk Rebalance - Lonesome Road.esp 55 37 BLEEDNV.esp 56 38 WMX-DLCMerged.esp 57 39 Mojave Arsenal.esp 58 3a NewVegasUncut 123457 Merged.esp 59 3b Unofficial Patch Plus.esp 60 3c Unofficial Patch Plus - Addendum.esp 61 3d Friend of the Night Fix - YUP friendly and New Cateye.esp 62 3e NewVegasBounties.esp 63 3f NewVegasBountiesII.esp 64 40 TheInheritance.esp 65 41 CCO - Perk Rebalance - Old World Blues.esp 66 42 YUP + BLEED.esp 67 43 Threshold.esp 68 44 Mojave Raiders - 22LR Varmint Rifle.esp 69 45 JIP Improved Recipe Menu.esp 70 46 YUP-WMX Patch.esp 71 47 AWOP-WMX.esp 72 48 TripTrap.esp 73 49 CombatEnhancer.esp 74 4a Follower Tweaks.esp 75 4b MigNammo.esp 76 4c Mark II suit default.esp 77 4d TLD_EnergyWeaponsForTheNCR_NoStatChanges.esp 78 4e outsidebets_meyersfix.esp 79 4f TMCOTT - Restored.esp 80 50 Casino Bypass.esp 81 51 fastervats.esp 82 52 ItemBrowser.esp 83 53 JIP MiniMap.esp 84 54 SignatureArmor.esp 85 55 Game Tweaks..esp 86 56 1nivVSLArmors.esp 87 57 Russell.esp 88 58 NewVegasBountiesIII.esp 89 59 Someguy Series Tweaks.esp 90 5a AmmoCraftingSchematics.esp 91 5b Machienzo Merged Mods.esp 92 5c Gameplay Mods Merged.esp 93 5d lexx_brahmin-betsy.esp 94 5e MTB.esp 95 5f AWOP - Russell.esp 96 60 Rewarding Exploring.esp 97 61 MainStoryAlterations.esp 98 62 UnfriendlierPersuasion.esp 99 63 AutumnLeaves.esp100 64 YUP - AutumnLeaves Patch.esp101 65 CCO - Companion Development.esp102 66 CCO - Perk Rebalance.esp103 67 Perk Rework.esp104 68 Opportunist Armor.esp105 69 Distributed Necklaces and Chains.esp106 6a Karmic Balance.esp107 6b ACS-DLCMerged.esp108 6c 1nivPNSLPatch.esp109 6d YUP-Spice of Life Patch.esp110 6e Clarity - Dark Nights.esp Edited December 3, 2018 by OLKv2
dubiousintent
I don't see CASM or any other alternative "save game" mod. Please see the paragraph about "auto-saves" under the 'Essentials for Getting Started' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. If you have been using the built-in "auto-save" feature and you get the endless "roulette wheel" when loading a save game, then your current save game file is corrupted and you will have to either go back to a save before the corruption occurred (hard to tell) or start over. You really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. (I see you have a number "merged plugins", but they don't reconcile record conflicts between other mods, such as all the various "game play tweaks" you have installed.) Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. If you really think the problem is "texture" related, please see the wiki "Display resolution versus Image Size" article. Finally, if the problem isn't resolve by the above, then it's probably a "mod conflict" between your multiple Primm mods. Please see the 'Mod Conflict Isolation' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. -Dubious-
OLKv2
I have Simple Saves installed, sorry, forgot to mention that since it isn't a plugin. I don't use any of the default auto saves and went through the help files I also turned off all my gameplay tweaks plugins and the crash persisted at the same spot I've been combing through the wiki looking for solutions for a few days too but I'll double check those sections to see if I missed something. This is beyond frustrating
OLKv2
This problem seems to be completely unrelated to the other mods and has something to do with Mod Organizer and Stutter Remover and Anti Crash. Started a fresh instance and had NVAC and NVSR installed with NVSE as the only mods enabled. Game crashed in the Primm House, then crashed on load when I loaded other saves. NVSR has the critical sections both turned off. Restarted with both NVAC and NVSR off, game ran fine, loaded fine, entered the house fine. Went back to my modded profile, game failed to launch when I started with NVAC off and all other mods on. It'd boot up, then CTD on the first load screen. Started up with NVSR off and NVAC on, the Primm House no longer crashed, I was able to explore it with no crash. But then the game crashed when I exited the game. Turned NVSR back on, disabled replace heap and enabled Critical Sections, and the game had a black screen mini freeze before working, then had mini freezes with every load instance but not complete freezes. And now I get this issue no matter if I have NVSR turned on or off. So yeah, this seems to be MO related.
dubiousintent
Unfortunately I can't help with mod managers other than Wrye Bash/Flash, beyond the basics. The problem seems to fundamental to the way it uses "profiles" and not specific to FNV, so check for solutions in other game forums which have many MO users. The author of NVSR has just posted his updated, stable tweaked version of it's configuration INI file. A couple of other similar configs have also become available as well. Please see the 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' entry of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. Your "mini-freezes" are basically "stutter". All visual stuttering problems are caused by the video stream having to wait for the "art assets" required to render the display OR the game writing something to disk (such as a save game file or logging). Mostly these are due to the hard disk drive being orders of magnitude slower than VRAM, with System RAM (e.g. "ENBoost") and "solid state drives" (SSDs) being in between. Keep in mind that this game was designed for older PC and XBox console systems, and it is now possible for your new "latest and greatest" gaming machine to be faster than it can handle. There are internal design choices that cannot be overcome. The "video pipeline" has always been prone to problems. The following are "mitigations" that have been found to help some people. Please see the following entries under the 'Solutions to Performance problems' section in the wiki Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide if you haven't already.* 'Issue: "Full screen mode" exhibits CTDs and stutters or micro-stutters'* 'Issue: Lag or "micro stutters" even with "New Vegas Stutter Remover" installed'* 'Issue: Win10 Screen tearing in "Borderless Windowed Mode"'* 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' for other settings that can indirectly affect micro-stutter.* There are also some NVSR configuration suggestions under the 'Issue: Game in slow motion' and entries.* The 'Issue: What's with these Solid Green billboard signs in the distance (LOD)?' entry under the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section can also help if your problems started after you installed VWD/LOD texture packages.* If you are using CASM or some similar "auto-save" mod to manage your save game files (recommended), try increasing the "time between saves" set in the "save frequency"; and reducing the number of occasions it saves to the minimum (e.g. disable most "Autosave Events" in CASM) and see how that impacts the game seeming to freeze temporarily.* If you have "NVSE logging" enabled (see the 'Checklist Item #4' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide), disable it until actually needed.Reading from or writing to disk for any reason is the slowest thing the game does. The size of your image files also has an impact. Larger/higher resolution is not always "better". Please see the wiki "Display resolution versus Image Size" article. The 'Issue: What INI edits seem to be most beneficial to performance' entry of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide) may also be some help. However, the above mitigations are more likely to have a fundamental beneficial effect with or without any INI adjustments, so consider them as the last resort. As you can see, there are a number of things that can underlie your problem. If one of these doesn't fix it, I would be interested to hear about any eventual solution that does. -Dubious-
axonis
@OLKv2, Windows 10 is known to break NVSR's main anti-stuttering feature. I suggest that you read https://taleoftwowastelands.com/viewtopic.php?t=6050 which is one of the very few reliable sources on the subject.
OLKv2
Nothing fixes this game now. I had it running perfectly, then it just decided to die and now won't work properly even with new game saves. I'm just done, it broke me. Followed every single method, read through the entire trouble shooting wiki, tried absolutely every fix from multiple sources, the game just won't work anymore. The most frustrating thing is that I changed nothing at all from my previous settings which worked well enough to let me play an entire TTW playthrough and heavily modded NV playthrough, but hey, just wake up one morning and the game just doesn't run anymore Screw this game. Thanks for the help everyone.
dubiousintent
Sorry to hear about your frustrations. A sudden deterioration without any changes or something else fairly obvious as the cause suggests the problem is related to other than the game itself ... such as a system update, or failing hardware. If it's been a while, try cleaning out the dust and running a "chkdsk" on your hard drive. Run a MEMTEST program as well. If it is a hardware problem, you will probably find other games or apps behaving weirdly as well. -Dubious-
