ManBullMoose
Hey, I'm having this issue with Vortex. I love this new manager so far, but I'm now dealing with this error in my picture. I cannot deploy Skyrim SE mods because of this error. How do I go about unlinking that ini file? Is there a proper method? I cut and pasted the ini.baked file to my desktop and now it just says no such file or directory, open C...SkyrimPrefs.ini.baked. This had happened before, and I dont remember exactly how I fixed it. I believe I deleted everything in the ini folder and restarted skyrim and vortex and the error stopped coming up as I installed a few more mods. Now its coming up again so I am in need of a proper way to fix it and prevent it from happening again. Vortex and both Skyrim SE and Fallout 4 are on the same drive but not the same drive as OS and MyGames folder with the inis and saves. Which was never a problem before, Ive had Fallout 4 modded with Vortex just fine like that before I upgraded the drive they are on to a larger 1TB ssd. Any help is appreciated. ManBullMoose
I figured this out a while ago now. I had One Drive running and it was preventing anything from happening to those files as it was claiming ownership of them while it was syncing the files. BigBizkit
Yeah, I believe this is a writing permission issue. The SkyrimPrefs.ini seems to be in use by something else (probably OneDrive) preventing Vortex from accessing it.
