Skoran
So, I am going to play Oblivion again, but this time I want a more realistic experience.I really want that “living and surviving in the wilderness” experience. For this I am searching mods like - No quicktravel- You have to eat, drink and sleep- Slow time down (So you don’t have to eat every 5 minutes)- You can get food by hunting all kind of animals- A fishing mod or one where you can get berries from shrubs- To prepare your food (for example meat from a deer, a fish) you need to make a fire (so collect wood), a pot to cook it in, ….- Make your own stuff (like arrows from bones or so)- .... Do these mods exist? If yes: Can anybody link me? If somebody has some nice other ideas for realistic mods: please tell me :) Thanks in advance

Do these mods exist? If yes: Can anybody link me? If somebody has some nice other ideas for realistic mods: please tell me :) Thanks in advance I recommend Cobl (Common Oblivion) for food and thirst - and it also gives configurable time (you can make one minute = one minute real life and many other options). FF Real Thirst - Cobl Real Hunger, Cobl - download from Wrye's site, scroll down to "Cobl Mods" section the link is there.Same site, consider "Power Exhaustion" look in Oblivion Mods section. Let the People drink - adds waterworks and fountains to the city, coblized version adds water barrels to dwellings. You might consider Vim and Vigor but I don't know if it's buggy. Search tesnexus for it. "See you sleep" much better immersion for sleeping. Make your own stuff - Look at CraftyBits (search tesnexus) there's a coblized version too. Alternative to Coblized Vim and Vigor: Survival Suite Real Injury No Fast Travel
Michlo
That's a great list already and I would add Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul and Better Cities. Also, just last night I started trying Ambient Town Sounds and Symphony of Violence which also add to immersion. Since you seem to be coming back after a while, just in case you don't already know, make sure to grab FCom's helper tool and OBMM to sort out your load order. Finally, the unofficial patch is a must have. Good luck. Edit - I probably should have just said - look at the list in my signature! (I keep forgetting I finally put that up, heh). russader
Illumination, Better interiors, Natural Vegitation, Natural elements, I can't remember the weather mod but it's not natural, natural water, Modems city life for children. Don't even tell me everyone is immortal and no one ever has kids. Don't forget you need fish and seaweed. I love emersion mods, most of my list is nothing but that. Shadowcran
It's 'Natural Environments' and I highly recommend it. There are several weather mods to choose from in it. For HDR and darker nights as well as just regular atmospheric patterns. The natural habitat, water, and vegetation are included in it as well. Just don't let what happened to me happen to you. In transfering files I lost a mesh for the weather mod....and it snowed purple mesh mistakes....I had to re download. These following won't affect what you want, but will enrich your game experience while playing it:Darnified UI- get rid of that antiquated menu system.Immersive Interface- makes your screen a whole lot simplerElven Map Redux- Gets rid of that boring background map. Also add, besides the unofficial oblivion patch and FCOM helper, Wrye Bash and OBMM(Oblivion Mod Manager). These tools will help you out in your modding immensely. There is an 'Advanced Fletching' mod that gives you a fletching kit(that you can buy), you can then use some tools and ingredients you can buy/obtain to fletch better arrows plus enchant them. Martigen's Monster Mod, I think, comes with leatherworking and other things like that you might want. there's a cuthroat merchants mod that I think comes with either Francesco's or OOO. this puts more realism into barter. Skoran
I used to have lots of problems with my load order (I understood sh*t from it :P)But FCOM helper will normally fix this problem if I understand it? I am also looking for that mod so you can see buildings, cities, ruines, shrines, ... from all across the map Betties cities looks great btw, but won't conflict this with mods that add shops, new places, ... in the cities? myrmaad
I am also looking for that mod so you can see buildings, cities, ruines, shrines, ... from all across the map Look for one of the "Visible When Distant" mods, I use a light version (Light VWD) and I love it. I don't have a "muscle graphics card", mine is ok, it actually can run everything at the highest intensity, but as long as it looks good to me, I try to stay away from anything that could screw around with my framerates, because that, my friend, would blow my immersion out of the water. Instead of Illumination Within, I use Texian's lighting system; I use Enhanced Weather; I use Better Water. I don't use many of the "immersion" mods like thirst, hunger, and other mods, because I have a great imagination and can easily "suspend my disbelief"in the game. I have no trouble with that. :D
Skoran
I have no problem with the fact you dont need to eat, sleep or drink. I just wonder what the game would be like with those stuff (more adventurer like). So that way Oblivion will become a different game (I hope :P)
