FlamingCheeseMonkey
My mod staging folder is located in steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data/mods Ah, yeah, that's an issue. Your mod staging folder should be located outside of the game folder. For example, I have my games installed in either D:\Games, or D:\Steam... etc. With Vortex, I have the download path set to D:\Modding\Tools\Vortex\downloads and mod staging set to D:\Modding\Tools\Vortex\{GAME}\mods. This way, the downloads and the mods will be located in one folder, so that if you ever decide to stop playing a game, or stop using Vortex altogether, it will be easier to uninstall/delete excess files. Also, keep in mind that not every mod will be showing up within the mod menu of the game,as that only shows the .esp, .esl and the other file that I can't recall right now. So mods that only have texture files won't be listed there. To make sure that they are deployed, just click on the "Deploy Mods" button that is located in the "MODS" section of Vortex. chand5309
What do I do if the deploy mods button on vortex isn't select-able? I have downloaded resident evil 2 from steam, and I have also downloaded a texture type mod from nexus but, vortex behaves like I haven't downloaded anything for it to use. Is there anything else that can be done to get vortex to recognize my downloads? I'm new at this- by the way, so I'm a little lost on how to get mods to work on my game.
