Various problems - Load order?

Hey guys, I've started a new game and noticed my load order getting a bit disorganized, and I've been noticing some problems:

 

- The ranting prophet in Whiterun (Heimskr) isn't ranting anymore.

- Amren (your sword or your wife) doesn't give me my quest to get his sword. I've also lost him, I think.

 

I'm not sure how many more problems might be out there, so I want to correct this before I go any further, or perhaps I would have to restart my game.

 

Now, I loaded an old save I kept around just to test some things, and if I travel back to whiterun, Heimskr is there, ranting his heart out.In my new save, he just sits there.

 

Now, this may be a problem with the triggers associated with Amren or Heimskr, but I wonder if any of the mods I have might be responsible, or if my load order and be improved.

The simplest way is to disable all your mods and enable any NPC or quest-related mods one by one. Once the glitch is present, you've found your problem mod(s), so check their readmes for known issues or incompatibilities, and see which ones you can't live without. I also recommend picking up Wrye Bash, which can control your load order way better than the Bethesda launcher can. As a general rule, the more complex a mod, the later it should be in your load order.
