SKSE64 not working, help?

I am a little bit afraid of doing something wrong.

 

So.. I think I'll wait, til SKSE will be updated. If I do, and when it is updated, I have to wait till some mods who use SKSE are updated too?

And when they dont get updates, I'll have a problem - is that right? :sad:

Yes you will have to wait for skse64 to be updated and then wait for every skse64 dependant mod, you have installed in your save, to be updated as well for the new version of skse..

Or try the simple solution we give you above it takes 2 minutes and is perfectly safe... use the depot number I give in my post above..

Just type windows button+R on your keyboard then copy paste this steam://nav/console and then on the bar that appears on the bottom of the window that opens paste this download_depot 489830 489833 4140371450004190946

And don't forget before doing all that to disable auto updates for skyrim se through steam as stated in my first post

The depot you are giving is for version 1.5.3 and NOT 1.5.53, to anyone seeing this don't try this it's for an older version

 

The correct one for 1.5.53 is: download_depot 489830 489833 4140371450004190946

 

 

I dunno how in the hell I posted the wrong number, considering that I got the correct version for myself. Whatever the case, thanks for pointing it out so it didn't mess him up.

Be sure to go to your Steam Skyrim update settings and set automatic updates to only update when you launch it (from Steam, always launch from SKSE shortcut to prevent game update)

Instructions to get back to previous update to continue being able to use current SKSE

Press Windows + R

Input: steam://nav/console

In the console: download_depot 489830 489833 4140371450004190946

Check https://steamdb.info...9833/manifests/ for the latest manifest ID! This is the last number in that command, and has probably changed if you're viewing this months later.

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\content\app_489830\depot_489833

Cut or Copy the SkyrimSE.exe

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition

Paste the SkyrimSE.exe, overwriting when prompted.

Also to anyone else, Apparently all .ESMs have been downloaded again, so we need to clean them again with SSEEdit.

"Skyrim - Patch.bsa" & "Skyrim - Shaders.bsa" were downloaded again as well.

 

 

Whats the easiest way to do that? Apparently the rollback of the .exe wasnt good enough for me.

Again, if you rollback without stopping updates it will just update again automatically, so first stop updates second do the rollback..

If you use skse624 version 2.0.10 for skyrim version 1.5.53 just follow the steps bellow and you are all set..

that doesnt work. as i quoted above, it appears they updated more than just the exe. So rolling backing doesnt work. you'd need to rolle back all the .esm or fix them in sseedit.

One final step I didn't mention because I thought it was fairly obvious, is that you need to go to where the .exe is downloaded (program filesx64/steam/steamapps/content/app_[the number above]) and copy paste it in your skyrimse folder replacing the .exe that is there

It works perfectly for me and I am playing normally with all my skse mods..
