Help with the main quest please

Warring Paranoia

Recommended Posts

Heh no worries there. I did my homework on the matter and I know about the cure for it ... but I still needed those questions answered. And here is one last one I think.

I wish to join a house ... but I am not sure which I should join. I can assure you that it wont be the telvani house or however you spell it ... but I can't quite choose between redoran and hlaalu. Redoran appeals to me in that fact that it is more for fighters. But another thing is that I wish to be cautious about where the strongholds are going to be. I read that the hlaalu house stronghold is in the most conveniant location, right down the river from balmora ... but where is the one from redoran? And which, in your opinion, is better?

The Redoran stronghold is built i Bal Isra, north of Ald-Ruhn. It comes nicely equiped (some ebony weapons), but I think it has rather low storage space. Compared to the upgraded Tel Uvirith, of course :)

But I have to say that the Hlaalu stronghold on Odai plateau is better. It's closer to civilisation and doesn't have ash storms like the Redoran and Telvanii do.

Yeah I have decided to go with hlaalu. I like being able to get to the strong hold easily.

And now I have yet another question. I have restarted and I have went around collecting armour. I now have everything up to where I want it ... but it brings me to another subject.

I am a sucker for long bladed weapons. Normally your two handed types, although I wish to start useing a one handed one. The strongest weapons I have ever wielded in the game was a daedric dai katana and umbra .... what long blade weapons are stronger than these? And which are one handed?

There is a Demon longbow but I cannot remember what enchantment it has. You can also get a Daedric Longbow and arrows that you should consider in the equation as to which is best.

Auriel's bow can be enchanted but it does not take much. It smells of Ash Yams if that puts you off.

On an earlier point, on PC you can play House Redoran and then all but two quests of House Hlaalu becoming grandmaster in both and ending up with two strongholds. Unfortunately I don't know if the same glitch applies on xbox.

IMO overall the Redoran quests are more interesting (some individual quests are not) and there are more of them 37 as opposed to 32 for Hlaalu and Telvanni should that make a difference to you.
