Blacksmith buy at the nearest mine

Alchemist goes to the forest / caves to gather resources (or his assistant)

Innkeepers buys meat at hunters and drinks in the distillery

I get what you're trying to say.

You want shop owners to actually go to each other and buy and sell things. Or Alchemist shop owners to go out and gather ingredients.

There's a few problems with this. In order to actually tell what was going on, you'd need dialog of them trading, which doesn't exist.

Also, I'm not sure if NPCs can trade with each other in the first place. Also, sending shop owners out into forests by themselves is a great way to get themselves killed, plus it is difficult to find many ingredients, making what they sell a poor selection or the shop only being open for a few hours while they run all over Skyrim collecting ingredients.

I'm not saying this is impossible, but very hard to do. It's unlikely this will ever be created. Sorry.

If you made an assistant NPC for each merchant in the game, and made the assistant strong enough to fight off whatever they find in the wilderness, it wouldn't be hard to do that. You would need to delete the merchant's leveled list, create a schedule for the assistant to follow where they return to the shop probably once a week, and a script to transfer the inventory of the assistant to the merchant's chest.

You can use the same functionality that allows a follower to mine ore to have the assistant mine ore. You could schedule the assistant to gather ore in particular places or mines. The problem with this is that the availability would be limited to what ore is available in a particular radius of the merchant. The other problem is that if the inventory doesn't respawn, then in the beginning of the game no one will have much, and 50 hours in, each merchant will have 100s of each ore. Unless you had a script that removed excess in some way. Alchemists' assistants could use the amulet from this mod to gather ingredients, and there are already hunters in the world; you could modify their packages to have them periodically stop at an inn to drop off their meats or create new hunters for each inn.

There are problems with things like spell tomes and enchanted gear that would have to go through a blacksmith, then an enchanter, and then a blacksmith again.

I think it would be very cool to be out in the wilderness and happen to run into a shopkeeper's assistant gathering goods for his/her boss.

The other thing you could do is create NPCs that travel around the game world in and out of shops and the wilderness that give the illusion that an interactive economic system is alive in Skyrim. Enchanters, herbalists, hunters, miners, book vendors, mead distributors, trappers and more, doing what they do. I like it.
