I second that.

I think the mini map will give me a different 'vibe' than the 'vibe' I've been playing with for so long already.

wish this existed as well

there was one for oblivion (http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/26220/) and I loved it.

also I've been getting a bug where opening my map in some interior spaces gives me a ctd (I already tried removing the blood splatter line) so this would be a great work around

I find localisation in the immediate surrounds using auditory cues quite poor in skyrim. A minimap of the immediate locality around the player, particularly useful when being flanked in combat. Something that is simple, like red for enemy and blue for friendlies. That way I can turn around when necessary.

Google just brought me here after I had to open the damn worldmap 8 times within 3 minutes and the last time my game crashed :<

 

So... if there is any modder out there who's capable of this - please do it! :x
