Building Prefabs

Would anyone else be interested in a mod adding a few prefab buildings that could be dropped in the game world fallout 4 style ?
I'm thinking mostly inns and merchants that could be setup around player homes.
Unfortunately my experience in modding is rather limited, but the way camps are set up in the Campfire mod tells me it's possible, though I cannot speak as to the difficulty.

You could either do that or you could go with a warehouse cell, and use Jaxonz positioner to take, move, duplicate, resize, and place the item. The campfire format is useful for carrying and placing, but has its limitations in that the item doesn't always sit flat, doesn't always allow you to place it where you want it, etc. For my craftable storage mod, made using campfire, I end up using Jaxonz to finalize positions on permanent placements. That is to say, in the field, I pop a chest on the ground and use it, pick it back up, no biggie. In my house, I'll pop the same chest on the floor, but if I move it too close to a wall or corner, it will turn on its side. Instead, I use Jaxonz then, to shrink or enlarge it, and to move it precisely where I want it, without it flipping around.

You could also make it with campfire and describe it as basic placement, with a suggestion to use something like Jaxonz for more precise placement.

Go to the campfire mod page, and click on Chesko's personal website. There is a tutorial series there, covering from very basic to pretty advanced, about how to use Campfire as a modder's framework to build on the craftable/placeable idea, for your own mods, along with permissions to do so, and to release the mod. He provides a modder's resource, which places all his scripts into your data, so that you can call on it to create what you want, and a step-by-step on how to do so. Wouldn't be too hard, I don't think, to create the base cell, add some kind of elevated base or platform, to help combat uneven ground, and build a structure onto the platform. As far as I remember, however close to the floor of your building cell the item is, it will be that close to the level part of the ground, so I'm envisioning what amounts to a small shack built on top of the scaffold base and top, with a small set of steps or ramp, to the ground, as an experimental test build. Sink it about halfway into the level cell floor, and then you should get a slightly elevated shelter, in the world, with a level floor that sits above dirt mounds and grass.

You can get as involved as you want, with his system, including beds, tables, containers, light sources, you name it, and the tutorials are very easy to follow.

I forgot to mention, don't install the modder's resource directly into your data. You'll want to use a mod manager, so you can turn it on and off at will, without it lingering in your data folders the rest of the time. I actually installed and used NMM for the first time ever, to accommodate it, and it worked great. Turn it on, the files appear in my data folders and I can use them as need be, even create archives with them. Turn it off, and they're all gone, without having to go in and find them, one by one.
