Xionith Posted March 20, 2004 Share Posted March 20, 2004 I have an idea for a mod, that somebody could think about making. My idea is during the battle with Dagoth Ur you lose. Maybe a cinematic of you attempting to smash the heart with Sunder, when it suddenly bursts apart sending you hurtling through the air, to your death. Then you are 'reborn' as a dead one in the form of the living (you were forced to take the form of the living for eternity or until Dagoth Ur is destroyed, because of your failure, maybe the god Azura or someone could do it to you). You would start out, and as soon as you rested you would have a dream of the statue of Azura telling you your punishment and that Dagoth Ur has constructed a gigantic automatan (forgot it's name) who he plans to conquer the world with. You will be told what you must do first, which I haven't thought of yet. Some towns, nearer to the Red Mountain, may have been slightly ruined (such as when werewolves attack the fort on Solstheim) and some may be under attack by Dagoth's Servants when you enter them. Eventually it will lead up to the final battle. Armor for you will be made, according to your likeness (thief, warrior) which will look awesome, along with a weapon. A great wall will be built around Vivec. Ordinators will man the battlements, with Imperial Legion men and Hlaalu gaurds etc. "The great battle of our time" will begin and Dagoth Ur's minions will strike first. You will be deep inside a newly built palace citadel with Vivec and other Lords discussing strategy. Eventually an ordinator will run in and report that a giant titan machine was approaching the gate, flanked by many Ash Vampires and Dagoth's including Dagoth Ur. You and Vivec and whoever else will stand at the gate you will take on all of these monsters and creatures who approach with the titan while a battle rages around you. Then everything stops around, and all stare as Dagoth Ur is "sucked" into the automatan. It then runs towards you and a cinematic begins, that shows an awesome battle between you and the thing, where Vivec and many other lords die. Then you win, and you are sent to morrowinds "heaven" with the other great gods and lords. Just a thought... lol... :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seriously, if I were innovative enough to suggest that people make gigantic binks from scratch for a plot that, besides being incomplete, makes an open-ended game into a terminating one for no reason, I could pick up Sea of Destiny and make it into something that actually isn't half-bad. Sarcasm aside, however... 1) Eternal life and a shiny set of armor doesn't exactly sound like the most horrible curse that a Daedra can bestow upon you for damning the entire mortal plane. 2) I may be wrong, but I don't think that complete invulnerability until you destroy Dagoth Ur is much of an addition to gameplay, nor do I think it's a very good incentive to complete the main quest. 3) Armor that represents your charachter... Lol, I was a little to quick to post it I guess. :blush: Maybe if I changed the imortality thing around...and the armor thing...and the big LOTR style ending...basically it's hopeless, so nevermind!
