Help getting Mod Organizer 2 to run please

I am trying to follow an excellent looking modding tutorial by PredCaliber but failing miserably at the first hurdle - I cannot get Mod Organizer to run without it crashing. I have installed and re-installed the pre-requisites as detailed in the guide here - http://www.predcaliber.com/skyrimsetut - (Part 1), these installed successfully but Mod Organizer 2 just refuses to run without crashing.

I have tried the standalone version and the installer (Archive) version, run as Administrator and just run (not As Administrator), always the same.

I am running Windows 7 x64.

Try following this video series.

Thank you for the reply. I am following that video already, I get as far as 3.41 (just after confirming the data directory to use, not that it gives me a choice at this point), then it crashes, and always crashes on subsequent runs. I have uninstalled the three pre-requisites, re-downloaded them and re-installed them, completely removed MO2 and re-downloaded and re-installed it several times, always the same crash at the same point.

I am downloading the latest suggested version, 1.5 I think it is. I will try the version shown in this video although it's clear they are running it on Windows 10 and not 7 so I don't have the 'Unblock' check box when unzipping.

Please help!

I tried downloading version 2.1.1 as shown in the video tutorial, it crashes after I select the game to manage (SkyrimSE). I have performed a clean download and install of SkyrimSE via Steam and run it to make sure it works.

Is there anything I can check or do to make this MO2 work please? Something is not right but I have no idea where to look.

Hmmm. Never seen anyone having this sort of problem.

What you could do are:

1) Run MO2 in compatibility mode(Like right click and the option where it says something with compatibility)My system is in German so I don't know exactly what it says in English.

Then tick the Windows 7 option.

2) Make sure you have all programs installed that are needed to run MO2.

Like this Microsoft Visual C++ and all that(Sry I don't have time right now to look it up but it should be listed on the download site of MO2).

Otherwise try using an older version of Mod Organizer. Even though it hurts xD
