Buspojken
So I was playing FNV the other day and everything was fine and dandy, but then I noticed that Rotface had a big red exclemation mark on him so I began a witch-hunt in order to find out what was missing (I have the Rotface to riches mod installed but there's no extra textures added there). I re-installed all the default textures without any luck, I then re-installed NVCE, NVEC and project Mojave but without result. I then thought "Screw it, I'll just re-install the custom texures I have, and now Rotface don't have a big red exclemation mark on him but instead every hat in the game clips with hair both on my character and on npc's. This is really annoying and I have no darn idea what to do. some pictures of the clippings. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/32/halpd.jpg/
luthienanarion
That's what happens when a mod removes the Hair body slot from headgear items in an attempt to "fix" custom hairstyles showing a bald head when you put one on. NVEC includes such a "fix." I'm not sure about NVCE or MM. Run FNVEdit with your entire load order, and find headgear items in FalloutNV.esm to see what mod(s) are overriding the records and changing body slots. The FNV version of Lutana's Child Headgear (in my signature) might solve your problem given that I wrote it to break the changes made to headgear items by other mods. It's meant for use with child characters, but it also works for adults. Edit: I'll learn to type one of these days. Buspojken
I tried using Lutana's Child Headgear without any results, I also tried without any mods at all, still with no results. I've also looked into the FNVedit but I can't really say I can make much out of it.
luthienanarion
You might have messed something else up. Try deleting Fallout.ini and FalloutPref.ini and your Documents folder and re-running the launcher. That, or re-installing the game as a last resort.
Buspojken
I removed the game, removed all loose files, re-installed, re-installed mods and now everything works again.
