StormHUN
So, after all my issue was simply that Fallout 4 was using the wrong folder for the files. Instead of Users/USERNAME/AppData/Local/Fallout4/ the folder is Users/USERNAME/Local Settings/Application Data/Fallout4/ That's it. Once I created plugins.txt in that location, copy-pasted mod names from DLClist.txt into them and added asterisks in front to enable mods, all works perfectly fine. MarkusTay
When you say "Fallout 4 was using the wrong folder for the files", what was, exactly? There are several ways to start the game, and several different apps need to run (the game itself, a mod manager, F4SE if you have that, Steam). Was it Steam that changed the placement? Also, to clarify, which was the 'wrong' folder, and which was the one the game is now using? I have the first one, just as I always have, and everything is correctly placed in it. After two days of my game running silky-smooth it stopped working again. Same exact problem as before. I didn't change anything - all I did was go to bed, and when I went to start it the next day it had forgotten all my mods again. The only thing I did between that time was shut the computer off and restart it the next day. WHY is this game so damn hard to keep running?! Which Mod Manager are you using? I've read that MO2 has been having problems with finding files since the update. I may have to just switch to Vortex, which I am loathe to do, until this last update it worked perfectly for me.
