bryman1970
Sounds good. Any idea on when it will be finished?
scarycave
I might be able to get it out tonight, I'm helping paint a room, so in case I can't release it then, you can expect it tomorrow. :) I changed it up a bit though, instead of being locked in a cage, he's lost in the sewer, and you just lead him outside (He'll be a follower at this point, though you can't tell him to wait, I'm was going to make it an escort mission but I left him essential), once he's out you get a message and talk to him and he's now a permanent follower. bryman1970
Cool. I tried downloading it at and i'm getting the message: Some newly uploaded files can take some time to propogate across our file server network. Typically it should take no more than an hour. So take a look at the upload date for the file you're trying to download. If it's been less than an hour, please try again a little later. If it's been more than an hour then please get in contact with us and we'll take a look for you. Thank you for your patience. Maybe it's not ready yet. I'll try back a little later. Should I post problems here or in the comments section? Edit: Ok. I've installed it and led him out of the sewers. I was curious to know whether he could be killed or not. I could always use the Companion Master mod and set him to Essential either way. I was also curious to know what level he is and how he levels up. I don't know if creatures like wolves in Oblivion have a specific leveling system or if it's more or less a set amount. I could be asking a silly question. I'd like to give a suggestion if possible. Whereas i'm a semi-evil person and I intend on becoming a vampire, maybe a bigger and darker wolf would be much more fitting (in my case anyway). I don't know if you touched up the texture at all, but possibly something like a Shadow Wolf, or even a black-ish color. Maybe some red eyes? I don't know. Just throwing ideas out there I guess. I'll continue to use him and let you know if I run into any problems. Aside from all of my ranting, thanks for finishing this. scarycave
I didn't touch up the texture, but I can play with it and see what I can do. I'm no stranger to playing with the texture files. Thing is I'm going to have to re-upload the mod with the wolf using different meshes and you'd have to download it again, unless you have the construction tool and want to switch the meshes with that, then I could probably make a resource for different meshes and textures. bryman1970
That's up to you whether you want to take the time to make it. You could always just send me the files or you could release it as a darker companion mod. I have yet to use the Oblivion construction set, so my understanding of how that stuff works is fairly limited. scarycave
I've already made a texture for a darker looking companion, it's black with red eyes with really tiny pupils(I might change it though, since I can't even see them). I'll probably upload the file again, I noticed I had a problem with a certain command because I didn't put an evaluate package string. It also uses the new mesh to not get confused with other wolves, so when I upload it, I'll also add the texture all you got to do is download the mod first, then the texture and put them in your data folder. I'll try to upload it later. http://www.mediafire.com/conv/10402c977457ba2ca84cfa87786aaf3cb6180d10a7e935da76132ea0f6ea47104g.jpg Edit//.....or I could add an effect shader depending on your infamy/fame. I tested it with the dread zombies ability, it made him darkish-green and had evil looking puffs of smoke come from him, I had it set to add the ability if your Infamy was over 10. That might be easier for people, and I could always add a shader if you decide to become good.Edit x 2//I uploaded a version called Karma Shader, which adds the shading experiments I put in the above edit.
