TrihuggerTiggz
Hello everyone. I am basically an idiot with the CK that can slightly fumble through xEdit so keep that in mind with any assumptions you make about how smart I was in what I did. Best to assume I'm a bumbling moron. Now the issue: I've tried porting Dragon Aspect Enhancement (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71686?tab=description) for my own personal use as the mod author appears MIA. I then wanted to make it compatible with More Draconic Dragon Aspect SE (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18081?tab=description) for the visual effects only (love me dem wings and tail). So what I did was download the DAE no tail, un-packed the BSA, ran those meshes through NIF Optimizer (no heads), and then ran and saved the ESP in the current CK to change the Form Version to 44. I at this point ran it through xEdit to see what kind of damage I was looking at mitigating before I got to MDDA and found a bunch of compatibility issues with Imperious. I made a compatibility patch ESL between those two mods (carried the extra 3 Biped Body slots from DAE over and let Imperious win with the rest of the racial abilities and the USSEP win in everything else). Made sure this compatibility patch had those two as masters and loaded it up to make sure stuff worked at this point and was "good". The quotes will be explained down further. At this point I installed MDDA Tail + Wings Nerfed Version in the FOMOD Installer. Ran xEdit and made a similar ESL compatibility patch where the ability functions copied DAE and I carried over the added wings and tail records. Added both as masters to the patch, saved, and loaded. At this point I thought I was done and felt like a happy little nerd since everything worked. I had wings, I had a tail, I had the proper dragon claw meshed hands and feet with my thigh pads, the works. The hands even worked in first person which had been a colossal pain in my ass in earlier attempts to do this with load order alone. So I then did the good ol' body slide, bashed patch to update load order (my two patches did not bash because there was no need with ESL's as far as I know), LOOT just because, double checked LOOT didn't do something crazy, and loaded up the game. Now... the issue... The glowing eyes portion of the show... I now am some Dragon Ball mutant with floating glow patches around my forehead (move the glow on the eyes up to the middle of my head in the picture below). Sometimes I get lucky and it just magically works when I load up the game, but at some point while playing I get forehead eyes again. Random things I have done with no success:- I have tried adjusting my eye height in RaceMenu. I've pretty much tried everything I could think of in RaceMenu but then again I have no real clue how that mod functions so I'm willing to give tweaks here a go. - I have tried running the new meshes from DAE through body slide and had extremely poor results with an error regarding "weighted verticies" that I still have no idea how to fix. This basically made some parts of the shout's mesh invisible. I don't think body slide affects the head either so I really didn't spend much time here. I use Vortex, I'm on the latest rollout of Skyrim, SKSE, and all that. When it works this is what it looks like:https://imgur.com/a/BMUFwD6 I realize you guys will be hard pressed to provide any specific help (unless I hit the lottery and one of you did this yourself already and got it working) but if you could please give me some ideas of things to look at/check I'd really be very appreciative. Please be very patient and specific if it's something in the CK as that tool is really daunting to me and I have almost no real understanding of it. Thanks guys! Pallentibus
Here is the solution I came up with: Go to Outfit StudioClick File -> Import -> From Nif fileThen select your dragonbornfxf03.nif(maybe make a seperate folder with the right structure if you mess up you don't have to reinstall Dragon Aspect Enhancement)Then right click on the DBAEyes01:1 and "move".Then click CBBE to Vanilla(old)This looks like it fixed it for me. idk why but it looks betterAnd also I didn't create a patch and just ported this Edited December 15, 2018 by Pallentibus
