Possibly a stupid question

I'm looking to make a mod that alters the weight of EVERY item in the existing vanilla Oblivion, and (permission pending) a patch for Fran's items as well. . . . Now eh, I can do this by hand, I have my formula to define consistent changes, I have my real-world understanding of weight to fix any places Bethesda so totally screwed-up their weight unit formula that mine won't get it even -close- to Empiric Measurements (pounds specifically, although I may end up using KGs because, frankly it saves me a step of math :P).

Anyway, looking at the CS (and this is my first real look, that's why I'm doing this, to practice for the companion mod that is currently way over my head) ----anyway looking at the CS I see, what is probably obvious to everyone, it resembles excel.

Is there a way make the CS editable with excel? Like do all my weight changes with Excel's wonderful functions and just transplant them instead of doing it all by hand, or at the very least move all the item data to excel so I can do the math there and just type in the weights by hand?

Thanks in advance if anyone can think of a way to do either of these things, I haven't been able to find an internet reference to one, and I'm afraid to touch the coding of the CS to be quite honest. It's very.... they did some weird crap to it (to make it more limited what a player can do to their game, or out of laziness?) from what I'm used to at a glance, of course I'm doing some tutorials, but I've digressed. . . .

Ciao,
