WinterFireRaven
Hey there to whoever is viewing this, I'm a newbie to this modding Oblivion and using OBMM, but up until now I've been doing relatively well... I had a decent amount of mods running, but I do believe I installed one that just made everything go frizzy. Like a moron, I installed more than a few at that time, and ended up having over 55, with at least a quarter of them untested. Everything I tried on that didn't work (checking for conflicts, disabling mods and testing the game without them), so I did a clean up and uninstalled everything, then reinstalled it. I made a list this time of the mods I installed, and kept it down to a minimum. Re-read all the Readmes, double checked everything, made sure everything was in place, and started her up. And. It. Keeps. Crashing. Right up at the start where it shows the Bethesda Logo if I don't try and skip ahead to the main menu. This probably is irrelevent and unhelpful, but someone might request a list of mods or something... I dunno. I tried this with the current version and they're crashing. - Ren's Beauty Pack- Capes and Cloaks- Blackluster Armor and Weapons Mod- Assassin's Creed 2 Ezio Gear HGEC- Castle Eltz- HGEC Body 1.21 Going to do another cleanup and just try the base game this time. If it works, I will then proceed to brainstorm while awaiting responses... Thank you for taking the time to look at this, and maybe deciding to help. I'd really love to play this game intact with the mods (can't live without my Mystic and Wolf Elves), and hopefully if this is resolved I'll have learned something from it. bben46
Here is an easy way to get back to a vanilla game (no mods) without uninstalling anything - it is completely reversible Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla gameWIKI http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Revert_to_vanilla_data And if that doesn't workHere is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the WIKI section of the Nexushttp://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Oblivion_reinstall_procedure It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
