Converting Daimods manually for Frosty Editor help.

I'm having issues with trying to convert some daimod texture mods into a frosty mod. The mods I'm trying to convert are for personal use, I will be only using daimodder for hairs and a few other mods. I would like to have complexions, eyes and brow textures work in all DLC so I thought I would try and convert them myself.

I have tried to find some tutorials online, but all I have managed to do is find some tip bits and have tried to figure it out myself. Here's what I've figured out:

1. I have extracted three dds files from the mod I want to use: hf_hed_inq_d, hf_hed_inq_s and hf_hed_inq_n using daimodmaker v16.

2. I have download texfactory and tried to match what the types of files Frosty needed with output on sRBG. BC3 for hf_hed_inq_d and BC1 for hf_hed_inq_s.

Except for hf_hed_inq_n where I used Compressonator instead. Generated mips maps and exported using ATI2N compression.

Now for the issues,

I just tried importing and replacing the textures, hf_hed_inq_d and hf_hed_inq_n look like they worked but hf_hed_inq_s when imported, doesn't look correct and is missing most of the details.

I did try out the mod to see if I was on the right track and it does appear in game but i CANNOT move the complexion slider and the game crashed as soon as I exited CC.

I spent the last day on this and knowing me I have gone the completely wrong way of doing this. If someone could help me or point me to an actual step by step tutorial that would help a lot.
