Mods for Steam Subnautica and one for Epic Games Subnautica

I have two copies of Subnautica, one from Steam and one from Epic Games.

I already have mods set up for Steam Subnautica and they work fine.

I can't figure out how to set up/add mods for the second version/copy of Subnautica, the Epic Games copy.

The Steam version is installed under Program Files (x86) and the Epic Games version is installed under Program Files.

I tried having Vortex search and find the copy under Program Files but it finds nothing!

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

2 days ago i had no troubles with this, today has been trial and error, this has been drivng me nuts for a while now, but i have finally figured out why.

First as a rule when modding anything, it should not be insalled in program files.

soon as I knew that it was I opened the epic games launcher, then re-installed subnautica to "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica" so it is outside program files and not affected by the UAC (User Access Control) i also deleted the "\not found" bit. so the "Subnautica" folder is the games Root Directory.

Then I installed the Qmodmanager that is now (in this example) found in "D:\Epic Games\Subnautica\Subnautica_Data\Managed" as I had to point Vortex in the right direction.

After you have mods installed keep vortex mod manager open and launch Subnautica from the Epic Games Launcher.

this is required because a form of DRM (Digital Rights Management) in recently put in place.

if you have a shortcut for Subnautica on the desktop, right click on it, then left click on the properties and you will see a it now has a web document tab instead of a shortcut tab. if you try to launch Subnautica directly using the Subnautica.exe something kill the process.

Currently i don't know how else to get vortex to launch this game using the URL instead of the Subnautica.exe file.
