wseibert
I uninstalled and deleted all of my mods, to include the Force New Idles in Skyrim SE Uninstalled (Through Windows, Apps, Remove Programs)VortexLootSkyrim SE Then I reinstalled Skyrim SE. I figured I would start the slate clean. Then I reinstalled Vortex, and low and behold, what should appear? Everything. It says it couldn't find my installed mods, of course, but it was still trying to load Force New Idles in Skyrim SE. What gives? When something is uninstalled, shouldn't all of the registry entries be removed? It should be completely fresh. So, I uninstalled Vortex again.I made sure the directory was gone. After I reinstalled it was still referencing mods that were gone and the FNIS that was automatically trying to start. It's like it is keeping its initialization files somewhere. What gives? wseibert
Alright, I removed and purged all of my mods through Vortex, they are gone for good it seems. Then I uninstalled Vortex. Then I restarted my system Then I installed Vortex. I am still left with the attached. How do I fix this?
Kregen
I find that after uninstalling a game or program if I do a file search using windows file finder there always some sub files or empty files left. If I then remove them it does not matter how much I F(*ˆ&ed up the new installation is then clean. Having said that very rarely I need to reinstall my computer to factory specs and start again. The first suggestion usually works the second always works, assuming vortex does not have some kind of cloud backup that we cant access.
