dubiousintent
When you download the archive package, you tell it where to save the file. If you chose to save it to the "desktop" then it will be an actual file instead of a "shortcut". You can tell by right-clicking on the file icon and selecting "Properties" (which will only be available if it is a "shortcut"). If it is a "shortcut", then it will show you where the file actual resides in the "Target" field. Once you have located the actual archive file, try double-clicking on it. If you have 7Zip properly installed, it should have the file extension (".7z" or ".zip", etc.) associated with it already and automatically open it. If not, then right-click and "Open with ..." 7Zip. There is a tutorial on extracting files using 7Zip here. -Dubious-

Hunterz1
When you download it dont set the X to open with, set it to save as!And save it to a New Folder not to desktop directly.
