HerpDerpingtons
I think someone should make a Slenderman mod ( based on the Mythos creature. ) They should include a deep forest near a place like Whiterun, where he lingers in the forest, or he can also stalk other places, too. They should also make random citizens enter the forest, and never come out.

Cipherthe3vil
Sure, Slenderman's fine I suppose for outdoor mayhem. But the Slenderman is... lesser, to the Woman in Black. (As in the movie. Woman in Black is much creepier...) Woman in Black could haunt the cities while Slenderman gets the wilds. You could even have Scripted deaths when you get too close to Slenderman and Woman in Black, so players actually fear them and run like hell instead of just killing it. (It could even just be a texture of some sort and not intractable at all. Just creepy and always in the distance, pursuing you. You need to find a shrine and get a blessing from the divines to end the effect) Edited July 16, 2012 by Cipherthe3vil

Relativelybest
Man, Slenderman scares the crap out of me... >< Anyway, I guess it would be kinda cool if you could somehow make him appear at just enough distance to make him out, or have him stand still at inaccessible places. Maybe put Operator Signs at the places he appears so when you see one you go like: Crap, that means he's probably nearby watching me oh god there he is I can't believe I didn't notice him! Maybe have him wear edited mourner clothes or something to make him fit the setting. ...On the other hand, I imagine a lot of players would react to this by running over to him and hitting him with a magica saber or something. That's absolutely what I would do. Ultimately, the point of horror in general -and horror games in particular- is to face and overcome the things we are afraid of. But on the other hand, kinda the whole point of Slenderman is the mystery: That you never see him properly up close. I think it would be very hard to make that work in a game like Skyrim. What should happen is your screen should dim the closer you get, but with red-ness as well. Sound should play that sounds like increasing heart beats and if you get too close you die in a scripted event unless you have some specific item obtained from a quest to kill Slenderman. But Slenderman shouldn't go away either. It should follow you, chase you. Never stopping until you can reach a shrine to one of the divines and receive its blessing, when Slenderman disappears. It could be made to look like a very blurry figure, tall and thin, that walks with slow walking animations yet it moves as fast as your running pace. If you sprint, it should sprint too.If you slow down, it speeds up. Slowly gaining until it catches you as eerie music plays and the heart-beat sound increases while your screen dims the closer Slenderman gets then RIP. Being chased by a relentless, invincible threat might work, I suppose - it's been done well before. However, this doesn't quite sound like Slenderman behavior. Usually he stays in the background and drives people crazy while stalking them over time. He doesn't really give you a sense of emergency. That's really my main concern - that in order to make this work, you would need to change the concept into something rather different. What you describe sounds more like the Dahaka from Prince of Persia or the Shadow from Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Anyway, I still think that horror is supposed to be a form of catharsis: it's about facing your fears, not running away from them. If you look at most good horror games, basically all of them make you go towards the dangerous thing - you need to go into the haunted house or cursed city, you need to go deeper into the bowels of the creepy castle full of lurking dangers, you need to find the source of the evil that's haunting you. You never try to escape the thing that scares you. Like I said, Slenderman terrifies me, thus defeating him would be my main reason for using this proposed mod. But actually confronting him physically isn't really what Slenderman is all about. He's scary because he's vague and undefined. Up close he's just a long-armed faceless freak in a suit. That said, I do like the idea of your character essentially being haunted by something you can't just outrun or hide from - especially if it's the result of some kind of curse, like if you steal a certain artifact from a tomb or disturb some ancient seal or something. But then I think you need a serious quest that lets you deal with it, and it's should require you to do something a lot braver than just run away to a shrine somewhere. Erinaea
If he were following me around constantly I would eventually get used to him and no longer be afraid or creeped out by it. I think it needs to be a rare, once in awhile thing so it doesn't lose it's effect.
Elem89
Thought about this the other day when I had some kind of shadow/lighting hiccup and it looked like something came off my screen and then flickered out of sight. Creeped me out.. I think we definitely need more creepy style mods especially at night.
