Badmagic Posted July 10, 2012 Share Posted July 10, 2012 Getting sick and bloody tired of buildings popping in and out of existence at ridiculously short ranges. Using these settings seems to fix the issue with minimal impact on performance... uExterior Cell Buffer=64uGridsToLoad=7iPreloadSizeLimit=51380224 ...it introduces other issues though like actors and object falling through buildings/terrain and book covers being messed up etc when approaching some areas a prime example of the issue tends to be Valtheim Towers/Keep, with the above settings actors on platforms fall to the ground when approaching the tower, the bandit chief is sometimes inside the mountainside making it oh so fun for 'kill the chief' objectives and the vast majority of potions/books/objects have either fallen into the void or stacked inside each other. I've looked through google etc and none, not one guide for ini tweak guides/posts I have waded through covers this, a few of them say to use the buggy uGrids method above but the majority advise against using it citing it causes 'other issues' with no details, presumably these 'issues' cover the one I talk about above. Has anyone found a real solution to this or are the choices to play with a horribly limited view distance before LOD pop Vs buggy areas forcing the use of TCL. If those truly are the choices is anyone aware of a blurring mod (e.g. depth of field) that does that and that alone that also doesn't cause save bloat?
