bluntblade5
I got my character to level 30something, and now my playthrough is broken so hard that not a single save will load :( I'm using an Asus Swift 3, and I'm honestly wondering if the computer can't handle the game after a certain amount of progress. Charles17
Your level has no effect on savegames. You "can" have savegame bloat, whereas your save files are incredibly big, usually resulting from adding/removing mods during playthrough (which is NEVER a good idea). One thing I will suggest is, use this mod here on nexus. Run on your most recent save file. Check "Show unattached instances", and "Show undefined elements" under the clean tab. If it shows anything...select clean. Upon closing out it will ask if you want to save...select yes and overwrite. If this doesn't work, your savegame is too far gone and time to restart. Also, something I've read before said deleting all but your last 50 or so saves can somehow help. Not entirely sure how though. Hope this helps, good luck. bluntblade5
Thanks Charles. The thing that really disconcerts me is how suddenly it happened. The game hadn't been getting less stable as far as I can tell and the load times hadn't changed - it's just now that it won't play ball at all. bluntblade5
Saves are currently circa 8000kb, which I guess is terminally bloated. Fallrim didn't find anything to clean, either way.
Charles17
8mb isn't bad at all for a save. I just completed a playthrough and my final save was 13,874 kb at save @700. Do you have quick saves turned off? That feature can break a save as fast as anything else. Go into your settings and disable all of them in-game if you hadn't already. Manual saves save everything and are more reliable by far. One corrupted quick save and everything that is saved after maintains that corruption.
