ghalion
Bear in mind I have absolutely no experience with modeling, or making mods with skyrim OR oblivion, so sorry if I missed something obvious. But anyway, I've recently developed a craving to play as a character found on http://www.models-resource.com/ into my game of skyrim and/or oblivion, but rather than ask someone to do it, I figured I should try and do it myself. I figured since they are already extrafcted at http://www.models-resource.com/, most of the work is already done right? So I tried to look for appropriate tutorials and such but they all seem to assume that the models would be ".nif" files, or other filetypes. The models I got from http://www.models-resource.com/ feature a "smd" file, a "dae" file, and some pngs for textures. Is this even doable? Is this too much work for someone like me who doesn't even know how to model a chair (I don't even have modeling software yet). Anyway if someone knows something I can read to help me figure this out I'd appreciate it. I don't mean the entire damn wiki becaue quite frankly I have no idea what to look for, and what's applicable for me. I'm not interested in becoming a 3d modeler in general, I just want to get a couple models imported (as playable character material, not a static model) is all. Thanks in advance for any advice >=)
steve40
So basically you have no pilot's license but you want to fly a 747?
ghalion
So basically you have no pilot's license but you want to fly a 747? that's not very helpful. like I said, the models are ALREADY extracted. I figured that would be the "hard" part. Are you saying it's not?
