angrycatisangry
So as much as I hate to bother you guys with this, I have been unable to find anything about this on reddit or on Youtube about this specific problem. Windows 10Dragon Age OriginsGame is installed via Origin on a D drive, not on C. Everything is pointing to where it should be, when I click on Open game mods folder it all points to the right location. Origionally I was having an issue where the game doesn't recognize the mods at all when they're installed. I have conflict errors, and there is no "plugins" button on the left side in order to re-arrange them, as I have learned that's where you're supposed to go to do this. I have uninstalled/reinstalled all the mods, I have repaired the games I wanted to mod (DA:O was going to be the first if this worked at all) and they say installed but do not work. 4 of them also have the red lightning icon. Now, I have the following error: Vortex tried to access"C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\dragonage\mods\__merged.dazip\Settings\AddIns.xml"but it doesn't exist. When I enable a mod, dao_extradogslot_1_41 for example, it changes the AddIns.xml to AddIns.symlink and then it won't recognize the AddIns file anymore. So, should I just completely uninstall this and forget about it because it's error after error after error.
Chocomirk
I'm having the same issue.Tried moving everything around multiple times without changes. I can't figure out what I should be doing.
Blarghmastaq
I'm having the same issue as well.Manually installing my mods has been the only reasonable solution I've found so far, but I'm also having trouble figuring out what mods are actually enabled. Vauils
Wish I had something to add besides "me too," but that's pretty much it. I'm mostly doing a variation of installing my mods manually to get around whatever the issue is.
rmm200
Plugins may be a Bethesda thing to refer to .esp and .esm files. I know Sims 4 has no Plugins tab. Never used DAO, so I can't say how mods are supposed to work.

Wrong topic - this one is DAO.If you ever get in this situation with Skyrim SE again, don't reinstall1) Open Vortex and Purge mods (it is a button)2) Clean up your game install directory. Delete Meshes, Textures, and Scripts for a start. Any other mod leftovers.3) Validate with Steam. Sure quicker than reinstall.4) Open Vortex (if you closed it) and Deploy.5) Done. Allycat3301
I've been having the same problem, but I hadn't installed the newest version of vortex, which seemed to help. If you haven't, try updating it.
