ARCHANGEL227
The weapons shouldnt have stats except for weight and value, so the damage would be gone. Why? Because it would matter about where your hit and how hard. Say that you have a bow and you hit the enemy in the head, but he is still alive since he has health instead of critical locations. This would have to be very detailed and the mod author would have to be very knowledgeable about the human body. So that when you hit someone or something in a crucial area the animal or human would either die instantly, over time or be injured to where they can't use certain things like shields, two-handers, or dual swords. It would also be great if the poisons had real effects causing them to slowly die. Say you hit them with poison and after a while you can't find them since they're in bed dying. Also this will affect your character as well. This would also help with the one or two-handed perks that cause the enemies to bleed draining their health. You could change that to where you can still talk the them until they pass. So this way when hit in say the head they die instantly, I know it would over-powered but it would make the game more interesting. Also this would make use of the armors, instead of it giving you more health it would just block those attacks but if hit in the same piece of armor reapeatedly it would fail. But if there is one out there please tell me about it.
ARCHANGEL227
Sorry about the spelling and grammar errors, but if you get the just of it and you are a veteran modder with extensive human AND animal anatomies then could you please make this. There is also a PSP game that does this kind of system with the failing of limbs. It was a gladiator game but I forgot it. If someone finds it can please tell me it so I can include that in a reply saying that is their idea and I am trying to get a version of it made for skyrim. Also if you use clothes or robes it would kill you instantly unless you were a Mage and was using the alteration armor magic, and any bare skin over a crucial area EVEN WITH armor on it would kill/Hurt you or your enemy. So if they were using the hide armor with this and you hit the person it might kill them, but if that have the steelplate armor then it would do the block animation for your sword or arrow. theanonymousone1337
That's the problem with too much realism, though: things get boring. Skyrim has magic and dragons and gods, it's not really that much of a stretch to have a hero who can withstand arrows and swords and lightning to the face, especially with supernatural armour like Daedric or Dragonbone. The problem with things being vastly overpowered for the sake of realism or the game being "more interesting" is that, taken to the logical extreme, any teenaged trainee mage could kill a dragon by flicking his wrist and snapping the dragon's brain stem with telekinesis.
