Texture Issues

Relatively new user to mods and I'm not sure where I went wrong or how to fix it. When I load up SSE64 my player character has -darker- textures than what I'm lead to believe it should be using. Whenever I open a menu to change outfits my characters face and whole body Suddenly light up with what I thought she should look like. ie. Opening racemenu and toggling off the light.

 

Maybe its better if I show you.

if i see you pics it looks like a other rextexture of sofia the funny follower if am right ??

not that i know off never see that 1 on nexus

 

you can see easy her neck is not good so the skeleton is not good that is 1 problem

or its the skin texture

 

if you really wanna sofia to look difrent there 2 mods so far i know on nexus SE

Sofia Customizer SSE and

Sofia SE Makeover made by Trip

 

both work very good you just need to overwright all

if you try make overs from other sites like loverslab ore any asia sites it can lead to problems

i try racemenu also but i never had any problem with any followers i have

and i have tons in my game :)

 

also some armor/clothes can change your skin i know that problem but its something i really dont know how to fix

as long you use the right body armor like unp or cbbe that your char use also

i read you very new to modding i do this so 1 year and test so many things

 

as basic what you can start first is instal

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch its a must have

 

then i pick a body unp ore cbbe i use unp

then look for a nice skin texture for your body type i use fairskin

for hair i use KS hair and eyes are eye of beauty

so with that you have a very nice set up to start with

 

then download

Alternate Start - Live Another Life its a nice mod so you can always test your char fast and not go true that lengty start

with that you can test out how your char look and test around a bit

 

when that is good you can start adding more mods for your game step by step

also XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE its a must have to instal :smile:

 

and if you have a high end game comp you can start to add texture mods and trees and flora and so on

and if you know how to run skse 64 and enb and so on then your game can look amazing :smile:

and always overwright your skin texture over your body type or it wont work well

I don't think this is really a texture issue - rather a lighting problem.

 

Ariawyns advice might indeed be a good idea. You load order is quite "messy". I only had a quick look at it and already discovered some conflicts. I'm pretty sure one can find more...

Among those conflicting mods are also some mods that influence lighting. So that might be the issue here.

 

lighting related:

- ELFX Weathers and NAT

- ELFX Exteriors and Claralux

 

Also check your "Facelight" settings.

 

Not lighting related, but conflicts anyway

- Bijin single esps and Bijin AiO

- Verdant and Veydosebrom

 

In all those cases, choose only one mod. Try if this helps.

I haven't used ELFX, but I've used a couple of other lighting mods, and I've noticed that sort of "filter effect" in both. It's reminiscent of the old 70s movies, where they wanted a night scene but could only film in the day time, so they filtered the cameras. My guess is deactivate any lighting mods and then test. See if it goes away. If it does, you know what to work on.

i use ELFX for a long time dont have any problem with it only you need to do is not clic the option for weather

the other 2 you can clic

 

for the rest i use

Obsidian Weathers and Seasons

Intrigued ENB

 

but what i recommen is that he remove all the mods and start with a few

start off with a weather mod and a light mod

and see how it looks and later you can add step by step other mods

 

and see again i have test so much in that year and also great pll that help me and give tips

Thank you Algabar, that really helped. I thinned out a few mods and pretty much ran everything through LOOT and SSEedit until I was out of errors. Removed a bunch of "doubles" for mods that did that presumably did the same thing. Will have to look into more cleaning, but for now I'm finally happy with how the game looks.

Im heaving some problems with the texture here in this link that I will share you can see all the mods that im using and the photos from in-game ( with texture glitch ) . Ive installed all mods properly step by step.
