Stemin
I don't know, but I am guessing you would have to make two different versions and only fill out the female fields for one and the male for the other.
David Brasher
When people make items like this, they change the data in two different boxes in the window for the armor item. There is one box for males and one box for females. They have the texture path for what model to use when displaying the armor item. So for the males, you would use the mesh path to the helmet. For the females, you would use a mesh path to an invisible mesh that is designed to be invisible. (Not to one of those that is accidentally invisible and can cause CTDs.) That would hide the hair, ears and whatnot the original helmet hides. And if you want to avoid that, the parts will be showing through the helmets on males. There is no way of doing it within the same object.
