MrCooper2006
Yeah at 1900.... think its mainly cos of the low FPS tho they are much more noticable, only places like ships sails moving in wind and swords held up to the sky and arms etc. Small but sometimes noticable. Anyway I will give it a go tonight see if it makes a difference, I do believe you got it working just doesnt seem to work for me, very strange. I can definitely see a difference with just Bloom on the AA gives a massive difference even on 1900.... maybe its just my card or something. Anyway ill try it and post back cheers mate
BossDweebe
G'Day all - I have no experience with Flat panel monitors, but from what some of you are sayingabout aliasing @ 1900 I am less dissatisfied with my CRT than I was. Well actually, I wasn'tdissatisfied. Having said that, I wonder about the gamma settings those of you who have this problemare using when you have HDR on. I found that on my CRT that HDR produced way toomuch glare, especially around white buildings, and the colours were oversaturated, but I liked the dynamic effects of the light. Funny thing is I have seen mods thatgive a "HDR effect with Bloom ", and here I am trying to get a "Bloom effect with HDR". Anyway - I have some guide lines on getting a more mellow HDR on my HDR love hatethread for those who have similar complaints to me in respect to HDR. Why do I mention this here ? Well a more mellow HDR also helps with those electric bodys.Cuts the glow the faces and bodies emit in torchlight some as well, and you still get thatlittle something extra that HDR can produce, but HDR does come with a fps hit. And so it goes...Ain't that the wonderful thing about gaming on PC. So many options,so many settings, so much confusion. Gotta love it.... :wallbash: Hey ! We're just looking for a little bit of perfection. Why does it have to be so hard ?
MrCooper2006
Well i tried activating AA thru the Nvidia control panel, 2x to 16x, no difference in game. Tried it in the ini, and in-game, still no difference. Guess for me its not going to possible. But in reponse to BossDweebe, I dont mind the glare from HDR, maybe mine isnt as bad as some ppls, the only over-bright things I ever see are when there are two or three people all holding torches, the glow on ppls faces/bodies is quite intense, but I like it. It looks like there is actual heat coming from the torch, its not overly bright or anything. Maybe it just differs greatly from graphics cards, monitors and brightness levels. Guess its just fine tuning to your own system to your own tastes.
Tkohr
Yaaarg,I read this, and i cannot understand the problem, sorry. Download latest driver,in 3D settings, use overwrite any application settings, pick up your favourit AA!!! Is that a problem? I think no. OK sorry,i dont know, the gtx 200 series can have a bug in the driver, but this is no prob, download nhancer, install and make a profile for OB,or choose your AA settings from nhancer task symbol,i think this must fix the problem. Hope this was a little bit help.
MrCooper2006
Yeah I dont use ENhancer just the Nvidia Control Panel with latest drivers. I use the Global Settings and Overwrite AA to 16x but no difference. So i will try to download ENhancer and then try it, if THAT doesnt work. I honestly give up lol
Tkohr
Hui,WARNING 16AA ia really heavy, and not all games support this high settings!!! I use 8AA 16AF with Quarls texturpack (I loved so much ;) )or 4 Supersampling from enhancer.Dont use QAA,this is a absolut framekiller, and the quality is not better than 4 supesampling, the AAfrom driver is Multisampling and makes only the line sharper,Supersampling makes the complete scene sharper,QAA is a combination from Super and multi (6 Multi with 2 super). Yuo can expirience with the different modes, Super-,Multi-,remember,to high settings can have no effect in the game!!!!!!

Tkohr
What card/processor do you have Tkohr? And what FPS do you get ? I use two 8800GTS 640 ,oveclocked, with opteron 170dual core overclocked 2,9 ghz,4 gig ram,the game runs with 56 frames average,I can play with 16AA but its not really better than 8 AA,16 AF is standard for me ;),I play in resolution 1680-1050 Widescreen with hdr and AA,Nhancer is a standard tool for me and i never use the settings from nvidia control panel. With no Textur pack, the game runs with 90-120 frames (noAA,noAF). my 3dmark 06 score (standard) is 12364 points. i use Fraps for frame reading.
