techstepman
i guess this isnt fresh news...i kinda expected to deal with problems when i heard that steam started to activelly support mods...anyway i have Wrye bash,BOSS,NMM and skse. i went with the nmm and skse setup but steam wont budge.ive been away from the bethestha game mods for 2 years mainly cause i had stuff to do and didnt play much.so i need some help here. basicly what should i use in order to play all mods?is there a way to configure steam to accept nmm or any other of our modding managers or tools?i remember that for other games there were solutions for this.is there one for this game?should i get a pirate copy of skyrim and enjoy modding it to the skies or is there some way out of this situation? spent 2 days in nexus and other sites going through possibly every single mod that exists.i downloaded those that i wanted.im ready to install them and play(mod compatibilities all figured out).but ive got to figure out a way on how to make everything work with steam.till now my only problem was mod compatibilities with other mods.now i gotta worry about steam too. so pretty please with sugar on top...please help me! i serfed around the forums and didnt see any thread about this.if one exist please give a link. thanks in advance! EDIT: i think the major issue is skse ...but i need it.what to do what to do? Edited July 12, 2012 by techstepman
flobalob
Skyrim with SKSE still runs under Steam, you just have to launch the SKSE_Loader rather than the normal desktop shortcut (or if you want to run through the Steam UI then add SKSE_Loader as a Non Steam game)

flobalob
now thats some usefull info thanks!...i'll try it out... does it work for you that way? See 3 Skyrim shortcuts in pic. Top shortcut is the standsard Stream created shortcut (in case I want to get to "Data Files or Options", Middle one is a shortcut to SKSE_Loader, bottom one launches SBW (Skyrim Borderless Window). All three however still require steam to be running (and will start it if it isn't). I found out about SBW from one of the early Skyrim Mod Sanctuary videos, I use it to run the game at full screen width but less than full screen height as my PC is ageing a bit.
