Game freezes when casting certain magic spells and Shouts

I've been having this problem for awhile and it's a major annoyance, but whenever I cast Destruction Magic such as Incinerate the game freezes completely. This goes the same for Fire Breath, Frost Breath, and Ice Form. All the other Schools of Magic, and Shouts are fine, and I can even cast Runes, Cloak and Master spells, but for some reason Destruction spells such as Incinerate, Firebolt, Frost, Lightning Bolt, or any missile or spraying type spells causes the game to freeze. Dragons using Fire Breath and Frost Breath will cause the game to freeze, too and other mages, necromancers or Destruction magic casting enemies I come across will freeze the game.

 

The last time I tested my game out, I let the game replace the SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini files with the defaults and constantly casting Flames, and using Fire Breath and everything ran smoothly, but I also disabled my mods. I guess I have to test further what exactly is causing it, but has anyone else encountered this annoying problem before, and how did you go about fixing it?

I had a similar problem with a mod that changed the textures of ice/burn/residue marks on the ground after spells impacts. Lowering the texture quality helped fix it.

I have the Deep Impact mod installed. That could be causing the problem, but I disabled it before. I guess unchecking the ESP isn't enough to disable the mod.

I have this problem as well? not sure if its Deep impact, but i'm gonna try to dl the lower resolution once.

I have this problem too. I did some research yesterday and I couldn't nail it down to a single mod. Disabling a few made it much less frequent, but I could still get it to freeze if I reloaded and cast the spell enough times. Seems to happen for me more at the beginning of combat. Seems like the more mods you have the more likely it is to occur. Sucks.

did you ever find a fix for this ? im gaving the exact same problem, mainly i crash when a npc casts lightning

oh and using sweetfx 1.3 and ENB 244 , everything updated and no warnings in BOSS

 

edit: ok so ive tried without ENB and sweetfx all mods disabled, with and without SKSE and i STILL crash, could be a corrupted save maybe ? oh and also tried deleting skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini to get the default. no diffrence at all

 

bah i tried a full wipe and reinstall, still crashes in the same manner. also tried updating to new nvidia driver, same crap

Same goes to me. Had freezes casting the first fire and lightning spell you gain learning the destruction perk.
